CA v. Robert Durst Murder Trial - Murder of Friend Susan Berman
Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

Mr. Oliver is a real d bag. He isn't making Durst look any better. He just makes it look like he's covering for him which he probably is. This is going to backfire on the defense.

Mr Oliver is evading EVERY question. It is plain he is on Mr Durst side of this trial. I think Mr Oliver is a deceitful person to the core.

This is amazing amazing entertainment. The more the defense realizes some of their ploys aren't working, the more desperate their game plan becomes. There absolutely will be some sort of "medical emergency" occur during court before this is over.

Without a doubt. Remember, the defense has repeatedly PROMISED that the defendant will testify. They told the jury that multiple times in opening statements & have assured the judge of that (in order to get certain evidence admitted). I 100% guarantee he will have an emergency occur that prevents him from testifying.

i had similar thoughts. fake a heart attack? fake a seizure? they'll do anything to stretch and delay so i wouldn't doubt they'd go that route

So true; amongst the 800-1,000 Deputy D.A.s they employ, surely there is one who does not behave as if he is a 12 year old prince who has been raised to think he rules the world and who aggressively demands his way every second of his life. At 1:01:48, the judge calls him on his obnoxious, tyrannical behavior.

He is a very important witness...he was there at parties [bloke kicked in head evidence] new both of the women, best friend of BOB ..they had to force him in court. Most interesting so far. but very non cooperative indeed!

the scar/lump/tube is from 2015. he had a VP shunt placed for intracranial hypertension. the only reason this has stuck in my mind after all this time is because i have one, as well. i think it's another sympathy grab. why shave your head in the middle of a trial? it's so bizarre.
