Trump appointed the judges that overturned Roe vs Wade and bragged about it, Kari Lake supported the 1864 abortion ban just a year ago and there are multiple clips of it on social media platforms, and other republicans cheered for the abortion ban laws, but today they want you to think that they disagree with the AZ Supreme Court decision. Don't get fooled by these hypocrites. Roe your vote in November.

They didn't pass a ban, they decided the law on the books, which bans elective but not medically necessary abortions, from before the state was a state, is still the law of the state. Legislators can change the law, the People of Arizona can vote to change the law. The Supreme Court can only decide if there is or is not a law, and, trust me, abortions without a law (without a law, anything goes!) are far more dangerous and horrific than you or I could possibly imagine.

It seems that state governments and their elected leadership is all about a lack of imagination and quality. It should be a standard practice for all these old out dated laws to be regularly reviewed and repealed. They are simply time bombs sitting in the weeds waiting to explode and be used by bad actors. My mother and grandmother was born in AZ. My great Filipina grandmother migrated there from northern Texas. The govt put all "colored " on Indian reservations..my nanas birth town isn't even on the map. 1862 ...This law was implemented. I probably wouldn't be here otherwise. Back then was a more patriarchal society. Why should we go back to that? That's triggering. This law takes off the bandaid off my lineage. Most of my formothers had no choice. I would hate for history to repeat.

Arizona needs a top-drawer RICO or civil class action lawyer to sue the perpetrators (Alliance Defending Freedom, Brnovich, Hazelrigg, et al). There were 2 laws on the books, 15 weeks and 1864. The 1864 law was chosen with intent to physically harm women. Women who miscarry or have problem pregnancies won't receive healthcare because hospitals/doctors will be too afraid of jail. Corporations are sued for millions who make choke hazard toys. Doctors are sued for milllions for malpractice. Let's stop being shocked and start charging. The stupid justices couldn't have ruled if the case wasn't put before them...

One of my pregnancies failed. At 16 weeks the fetus died inside me and I had to have a procedure to clear everything out before I developed sepsis. The thought that women in Arizona and other red states don’t access to healthcare is so horrifying. Parts of the country are going back to the dark ages.

The Democrats had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate for less than a year, and during that time they were busy pushing the ACA (Obamacare) through the Congress. Nobody at that time saw a real threat to overturn Roe v Wade.
