It sounds like a clear cut case, a certain mariner company is gonna be more bankrupt than MC Hammer n knows it.

There's really no way to put a true price tag on the cost of this bridge being destroyed. But they should take the burden off the taxpayers completely.

How many people have to die before "thoughts and prayers go out to the families"? (When the people killed in this incident Are mentioned at all, it's [almost] always very briefly/ casually rushed over).

Hey if they move the ship out of the way it might restore the flow to the channel and improve the visibility in the water for the workers.

That is obviously the ship owner and operator 's fault.

If they persuade a Baltimore jury the MV Dali left port in an unseaworthy condition, through the incompetence or negligence of the Captain and pair of Baltimore harbour pilots, they'll likely just invalidate the insurance policy. As marine insurance is generally void when a vessel sails in unseaworthy state, or in the hands of incompetent Officers. At which point they'll have to go through the Singaporean courts, to attempt to recover any monies they believe they are entitled to, the vessel being owned and operated by companies in that Jurisdiction, and using an Indian crew, and US Pilots, which will cost monies. Given the vessel is in a legal entity, where the ship itself is the only tangible asset, a ship they've possibly invalidated the insurance on, they could at best have a notional very small cut of the salvage value, after deducting the cost of the salvage operation, and legal fees. Though i suspect many a US lawyer will be waiting for an opportunity to go after the employer of the Baltimore Harbour Pilots, in US courts.

Again why is no one asking why were tugs not being used to get ships past this bridge since they were well aware of bridge weaknesses.
