Yes ,in some cases side chicks with children who are not even biological kids of a deseased person can claim a part of the late person's estate.The most important thing they will have to prove to the court is proof of that financial support,always through bank transfers and mobile money transactions for an extented period of time to be declared a beneficiary.I have seen it happen in my country Kenya. Very informative piece but hope we can get more verified facts on issues touching on marriage and inheritance .

I wish you touched on when the marriage dissolve...what happens to debts incurred in marriage. Its always about the money not the debts. Suprise now he has a R500K debt i didnt know of, am i liable if we divorce?
