I had to check my bag of original lays. 170 mg for 28 grams vs 95 mg for 30g for the Thailand version. So yes, wayyyy more sodium in the lays here.

The sweet basil one sounds best to me when you started explaining what you were tasting, as it sounds like the spicy Thai basil dishes which are so delicious! And yes, fish sauce is an ingredient. So sweet basil probably isn't a correct name for that chip.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. Wonder what the outcome would be between the prawn or squid chips versus today’s cheese twists or the basil ones? But would NEVER wish that on the Dunn family 😂

Lol Thai basil is a lot different then our basil. I was really surprised the first time I had it. Ours is peppery but Thai basil tastes a bit like anise

Thai Lays definitely don’t taste exactly like the American ones. They’re not as greasy and a bit thicker. Tried the Kyushu Seaweed version which was good from japan also after watching your Thai Nori Seaweed review last time you liked.

I like Lays chips because they are so salty… lol Thai basil is different than ours… I find the Italian one intriguing but I’ve never seen any of these near me…

Such a disappointment on the Cheesy Twists. You have what the anticipation of the flavor only to be a fail. Does UK food have less sodium than US? Great review 😊

Their brand is Walkers and I have never noticed them having less salt.
