It's not a ploy - everyone has a specific vision for how the videos should be, so the challenge on my end is creating videos for everyone. Some say I include too many details, others say not enough. Everyone, including yourself, has a different preference based on their prior experience, personality, demographic, etc.

​​​@@DaviesMediaDesign That's good and well, but I think what they're getting at is the tutorial covers one specific aspect (which is fine for the video), but not the entirety of how we got here (which isn't fine for people still new/learning). I myself am wondering what path means in his context, and just narrowly grasping the concept of layers to even understand how we got here. I'm relatively new to this version of gimp and haven't used it in years so overall this is still over my head 🙃 I was going to do a side by side tutorial while watching the video and doing my own trial run of getting used to physically using the tools, but unless I can understand what you did by creating a template to cut out what you wanted, then it doesn't really come as a good learning experience because we're still lacking that important aspect that is also a part of this tutorial. Nevermind what others say, we can certainly agree that this video lacks information if it is going to incorporate an aspect that isn't covered/explained. If you do have videos it would be a good idea to include them in a link so it doesn't force people like this to sift and sort through the content to simply understand how this even worked. Even if it wasn't intended, it still becomes a ploy as the original commentator described.
