I think there is something very fitting about Layla joining Desmond inside the Grey while searching for the ultimate solution to break the node. Since by this time Desmond has lost his former sense of identity and become 'The Reader', I believe that over time Layla shall adopt the title 'The Author'. I put this out there because so far, Desmond has been unable to come up with a solution to halting the incoming node, and when Layla offers up an alternative, it literally blows his mind. The nameless Isu messenger in Origins also said in the message "The reader is but an observer; he has no power. But the author...the author *invents* the future. The author *owns* the future." And by working together with Desmond, they will end up owning the future that may help humanity overcome the incoming node for good Although I seriously hope Loki and Aletheia don't join up with the remnants of the Instruments of the First Will - that'd be bad news all over again

I really do think his consciousness did end up being in the grey like Juno said in black flag. When he says my new life it sounds reasonable. And 8 years. And hesitated when Desmond named brought up. Wow so they really brought the gray back.. if this is Desmond thank you Ubisoft even though it’s 8 years later lol

That woman can't be found yet because of the cross(templar). So I guess Layla is eve

Basim’s backstory in mirage now makes so much more sense why he acts the way he does.

Ubisoft just need to bring Desmond back for modern day. Idc how goofy it is, they can do it if they want. Him and Layla and can then take down basim/loki. That would be epic.

I have a feeling that the shroud from AC syndicate, and the staff from odyssey might play a big part in Desmond's physical return possibly in the next AC

I just wanna say I just finished this and I thought it was amazing, even tho eivor story is not better than bayek’s or other characters( to me) it was still great and the modern day story that tied everything together is perfect I played every assassins creed this year since I was a new fan and even though I prefer and miss the old ways the new stuff is not bad, people need to accept change and I’m saying this for people that are still stuck on earlier games( unity if my fav btw maybe not for story but gameplay and parkour😃)

the only good part about valhalla desmond seriously needs to come back layla is so annoying he wasn't the best model as a protagonist ,he was kinda winnie, agressif and had anger issues but he knew that the job had to be done

I miss Desmond i do nog want him returning with the current games in the state theyre in. He was the protagonist when the assassins werent superhumans with god like powers. He sacrificed himself for the world bringing him bwck would feel cheap. All that said it would be funny for him to come back and make a comment about "why the hell do the assassins have superpowers now? Alair and ezio couldnt teleport!"

So uh when do we get to see Desmond's son? Pretty sure the kid is out there.

Ahh Ubisoft nice little scape goat they created, if and when they're done messing around the plot as they see fit, they can just correct there timeline likes it's endgame

I like Odyssey but I see it as a sequel to Origins separate from the other games So but looking at it separately from the original games, I could enjoy more, also as a fan of AC4, I always loved the ship mechanic (Even if it doesn’t have cannons)

With how much they fucked with and ruined the games compared to the originals I hope he doesn’t come back it would kinda suck knowing the games went from assassin’s and their story’s of the past to gods and mythology and bringing him back makes his sacrifice feel pointless

Anyone else having a issue after this cutscene when after they load in they cannot move? Just standing under the matrix machine not able to move...only camera movement is possible. Dang I wanna play past this point but I can’t
