It’s so funny hearing them like “yeah there’s a strong, great music scene in Seattle” like literally weeks before the Seattle scene blew the fuck up and every one and their mother was signing bands out of there lol

Layne Thomas Staley (Kirkland, Washington, 22 de agosto de 1967-Seattle, Washington, 5 de abril de 2002) fue un músico estadounidense, vocalista y letrista de Alice in Chains, una de las cuatro bandas más importantes del movimiento rock alternativo y grunge en Seattle. La banda se hizo famosa por su distintivo estilo vocal, que combinaba la desgarradora y talentosa voz de Staley con las voces armónicas del guitarrista y también vocalista de la banda Jerry Cantrell. Durante toda su carrera Layne Staley luchó contra una severa adicción a las drogas, que terminaría causando su muerte en el año 2002.

Jerry Fulton Cantrell Jr. (Tacoma, Washington, 18 de marzo de 1966) es un músico estadounidense, popular por ser el guitarrista y vocalista de la agrupación Alice in Chains además de ser el compositor de la mayoría de las canciones de su discografía. El cuarteto, que debutó en 1990 con el álbum Facelift, integró el movimiento grunge junto con otras bandas emblemáticas de su tiempo tales como Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Stone Temple Pilots, entre otros. Aparece en el puesto número 38 en la lista "Los mejores guitarristas de metal" de la revista Guitar World.
