I’m glad I stumbled on your channel. Just the ‘real’ vibe. Like a lot of others are like ‘we should limit in an hour’ and I just like the emotion etc that are in your hunts.

Everyone says “don’t shoot em on the water” I think that’s the dumbest thing in the world. Let’s wait until they jump up. Lose them in the dark ness of the landscape or cripple them 🤯 I can’t tell you how many times that has happened to Me ! Same exact thing. I’ve lost and crippled so many that way. Land em, pop em on the water and go pick em up

When I duck hunted, I always waited for the best (worst) weather to go hunting. In Texas our ducks get stale and are incredibly difficult to hunt unless we get a cold front to push in new birds. Just don't expect much when there aren't any cold fronts but relish the ones that push new birds in!

Apparently the people talking crap about the 20 gauge have never hunted with one or suck at shooting. It’s my favorite duck and goose gun. Quit skyblasting with your 12 gauge 3 1/2” and let them decoy. I haven’t lost anymore birds with my 20 gauge than I have with my 12 gauge.

Sometimes last minute hunts workout better than planned hunts. And I do understand your frustration with the way that birds aren't moving like past years.

Hi from Portugal! Here we have a lot less birds then you have in US, but one thing i have learned is that every landed bird is way harder for the pellets to penetrate, because there is no air flowing thru their feathers. Keep the good work sharing your great videos, full of interesting content, and the awesome hunts will end up coming.

This is season number 4 for me in East Tennessee. We haven’t killed a limit of birds since our first season 4 years ago. What your going through is nothing compared to what I have experienced. At least you live in a state that has ducks.

A jerk cord in that situation will change your life and get those birds to center up. It will also allow you to use less decoys and be more mobile. Great vid! Keep grindin’!

Not much of a “fly way “ in Maine either. Went out this AM to one of my fav spots. It was iced over. Had to break up the ice just to put in 6 decoys. Saw 1 bird from afar. Still better than a good day at work. 🤷🏼♂️

I'd try some #3's in that 20ga. Get your pattern density up a bit. I don't even really like #2s in my 12ga. Only way I can kill ducks with #2s is with a very tight choke to keep the pattern density up. Kicks HF extra full.

Hey man, the problem I’ve had with my M2 is that it shoots high out of the box. You can fix this by changing the shims of the stock. I would highly recommend you pattern it. It messed me up Bc I got use to it shooting high without knowing it was shooting high. When I would go to my other guns I would not hit anything. I’m not trying to be a know it all lol just trying to help other hunters who might be experiencing the same problem I had.

Come to the Ohio river valley bud. We don't have the slightest bit of flyway or migration. We hunt 5 days to get 3 birds all season lol. And fo 2 weeks may only kill a merg lol. But it is what it is. It gets frustrating but keep at it. And don't be afraid to take a breather. I know the feeling of the monkey on your back when filming and it sucks sometimes. Take that break. I hunted/filmed fo pursuit Channel for 6 years and trust me when it becomes a bother step back and don't lose that drive to enjoy hunting.

Hey man. I love my 20ga I like shooting 3s and 4s. With a pattern master. I use black cloud 2s as well when the geese are around and flying. Also use a pattern master with them. I use a stoeger and a 870 can get 40 yards consistently with ducks and 35 yards with geese just a little advise that an old timer told the 20g will make you a better shot
