Hi Marty. Great looking layout and thanks for the update. Do you have any issues with only using the turnout switch blades to provide power to the frog section. From what you said you only use hand throws for the turnouts and therefore no other electrical switches to power the frogs. I have found that over time you cannot rely on the blade to make good contact on the outer rail to take power through to the frog. I use the AUX switch contact on my switch machines to power the frog for reliable powering of the frog. I also have a dropper from EVERY piece of rail on the layout to the DCC buss. That way you get good power to the locomotives and do not rely on track joiners to carry power or having to have keep alives in the locomotives. BTW nice to see someone NOT using red and black for the DCC buss for a change as it is not plus & minus and saving those colours for real power supply buss lines like 12Vdc for distribution around the layout. Having colours other than red & black helps with wire tracing and fault finding too. Cheers Brendon
