Isn’t that the way it works. When you need something they don’t have it , when you don’t they have plenty. Thanks for sharing. Have a good 4th. 😎😎👍

Looking good Rick!! Flex track must have been a hot item for this week🤷‍♂️😅 Everyone has there way of laying track and buttoning up the loose ends all that fun stuff. I know I pretty much do mine similar to how you do it. What matters is what works best for the individual right🤟🤙😎 Anyways great work and I'm enjoying watching your progress with the new addition. I really look forward to scenery and ops sessions on the new area!! Thanks for sharing and have a good day. Happy modeling!! -Jason

I use my Dremel to cut the plastic under the rails then slide them off, and if you clean the chairs off the track you can use the sleeper to fill the void you leave when you cut the track, just an idea 🙂

If you remove the ties more carefully, you can slip them back under the rails to fill in the gaps at your joints. You'll need to scrape off the little nubs that hold the rail to the tie; but that is easily done.

Rick, next time you go buy attachments for your Dremel, you may want to pick up one of their EZ Lock mandrels. Basically, it's a mandrel with a spring loaded collar on the shaft. The very end is shaped like a capital I. The collar is pulled down, the cutting disc is placed over the end and turned 90 degrees, then the collar is released. The disc is now installed. Much easier and faster than messing around with those little screws on the end of the mandrel!

Hey Rick - great shout out to eye protection! I've worn glasses since I was eight, so about two weeks now! Hehe! I wish I still had them, but I had a cut-off dick fly apart, as they're wont to do... hit right in the middle of the right lens. Made a GREAT scar on that extra-hard polycarbonate lens. And no scar in my eye. Scared the crap out of me, but it was a GREAT lesson. Eye care has improved so much over the years (high-index lenses, cataract surgery, etc.) but God only gave us two of those suckers - best take care of them!

It must be nice to have local hobbyshops. The nearest one to me is 90 miles away.

Once upon a time the only tool I had for metal cutting of any kind was a Dremel. If I had a dollar for every cutoff wheel I broke on that thing, I'd be able to retire.

Wood matchsticks will fill in for cheap plastic ties. Diamond brand minis are damn close to ho scale.

Starting to come together, Rick. Looking forward to it. How far apart do you usually drop feeders? Hope you and your family have a great and safe Fourth.
