The PRR diesel is an RF16 Baldwin Shark nose Diesel loco. Built in the 50s, it was one of the last mainline diesels built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central System were the only buyers. Two are in preservation in a Delaware and Hudson Railroad livery.

I agree, though I think 844 should be much faster than that. In real life it has a higher top speed than the flying scotsman

Nice video, LaZer JET! Just two tips: 1. In the US, we say locomotive numbers in, well, let's say groups. Single digits are, well, single digits, like one, two, three. TWO digits, however, is where it starts getting interesting. If a locomotive were numbered 45, instead of saying "four five", we'd say it like it's a tens place, "forty five". This stretches to three digits, where the first number is singular, but the next two are tens. For example, 844 would be pronounced "eight forty four"! And of course, four digits, which we say as two tens numbers. 4014 would be "forty fourteen". 2. That American diesel you used, the PRR one, actually was given a nickname that rolls MUCH easier off the tongue, the "Baldwin Sharknose", or just "Sharknose" if you like. It earned the nickname due to it's front resembling the shape of the front of a shark, therefore "Shark nose". Sharknose!

12:31 Yes that is normal, It adds the required air quantity and removes things like already burnt stuff. (I think I'm not an expert on this and someone can correct me if I'm wrong.)

Nice use of a Baldwin BP20 for the American diesel. Only 18 were built, all for the Pennsylvania Railroad. They're much larger versions than the RF16 of which 160 were made.

The Reason the Baldwin Sharknose (The U.S. Diesel) was so slow is because it is also a freight diesel like the BNSF ES44.

The first train to beat the accela express on your channel in a proper race (not when you drove in ts2017) was the class 390 in your first ts2019 race, I wonder if the length of this track will have an impact

the 2019 track was bigger and the 390 is faster than the class 800 the only trains that beat aclea exprees is 390 bullet train and the 373 eurostar

It's ironic how Germany lost to the US and Great Britain but in real life Germany is probably better at manufacturing trains than the US and UK put together XD.

Probably? Unless you do a lot of research, Even Germany Is not The top dog of Creating Locomotives. All country's have different special things, British Locomotives are Built for Style and class, American Locomotives Are built large and wide for Hauling tons of freight, Germany, probably does What the British do.

Yes that's true for the steam era, but I was talking about the modern railway scene. A lot of British and American agencies nowadays relies on German manufacturers like Siemens to produce their rolling stock.

Not the be mean, but the up 844 shouldn’t have been used. It’s obvious that scots would have won that as they nerfed up 844 speed. Hudson would have been better as it is the fastest American loco in train sim so it would have been a better representation.
