LAZY GIRL Crochet Locs in 1HR NO Cornrows!

For this tutorial, I teamed up with Sam's Beauty to show you a no hassle way to achieve the look of crochet faux locs with individual edges...without the cornrows and hours spent in the mirror! This video is perfect for those of you that do not know how to cornrow or are just all about saving time! These locs were great to work with and the packs were full so I ended up only using 4 of them. Enjoy and let me know if you all recreate this look using this lazy girl technique!

Long story short: I was chosen for an fashion show. I wanted faux locs and am not an good braider, and dont have patience to do the individual braids. I ran across this method, achieved this look in about 90 mins. People thought Id literally had dreads. I can't thank you enough. Oh and I slayed the fashion show btw, heeyyy. THIS is EVERYTHING!!!! I have no edges lol, so this is a godsend. I won't be putting tension and pressure on what little bit of edges I got left. It's quick, convenient, cost efficient, and a great protective style.

Girl! I'm not gonna lie, I had my doubts about hooooowwwwww in the WORLD this was gonna work when you started doing those plaits. But by the end of the video, I was shocked and amazed to see that it had really worked! There is NOTHING you can't do with crochet hair. You are the CROCHET QUEEN!!

All I have to say is haters will hate.Why is it that over 300 people have given this tutorial a thumbs down. It must be the people with no edges.Or people who prefer to take hours instead an hour or so to do a hairstyle. This method is great for beginners and can be modified according to your liking.I'm more into going to great lengths to protect my natural hair,rather than a ton of tention and hours worth of work.

Sis you literally saved me. I am not used to putting in my own protective styles and I was about to lose my marbles until I came across this video, I laid my braids down in the back, sewed them down with a net like an old school sew in and crochets the locks in. Just an FYI for some asking as I was trying to find an answer in the comments. I did this with the Motowntress Senegalese crochet twists & it did work. I will say the motowntress twists are a little smaller though than the standard/average size small twists (they're kind of micro) so you'll have to layer in the twists a little more in some sections especially around the top of the head but it definitely works. I think with even just slightly bigger twists that the coverage wouldn't be an issue though. I also did two rows at the front with the individual crochet method as opposed to one like in this tutorial but only because I think it worked better with the smaller motowntress twists if I was working with bigger twists one could definitely work although I'd probably maybe still do two rows as I think it looks more natural. & lastly to undo the twists you literally just feel to the top of the twist where you've connected it to your hair or braid & just literally undo it like you would any kind of knot. It's super quick.

I can't wait to try This! I have been debating on getting someone to do faux locs for me because I can't hold my arms up long. This will be perfect and I can do it myself!

You are my new best hair friend LOL! Now this is a technique I'm going to try. I do not know how to cornrow to save my life so this would be the best option for me. Thank you for sharing.
