the problem with that is the clients want to generate sales from the copywriting, if you don't really generate sales, you don't keep the client. Eventually, you build a reputation that you are not a great copywriter and clients will look for copywriters that generate sales for them.

Agreed. As both a columnist and an IT guy, I did several tests. In short, it's not very good. It's babbling too much. Good writing is short, sharp, to the point and it has an "arc". Those things writes like an "stay at home mum". It repeats stuff, drifts off - and at the end it just stops. Like a bad jazz musician. I think a professional would not only sniff him out, but also his work would stand out against a guy like that - even to a layman. It just shows how many people can get away with (let's be nice) mediocre work.

Here's the question you can always ask to avoid these scams if it's so easy to do, why don't they just do it themselves and not tell others about it? Why are they shooting themselves in the foot by telling others how to make money, which will hurt their profits with competition? the answer is because they aren't making money from it. it's a scam

I partly agree with you, but also don't underestimate humanity's capacity for absolute laziness and ignorance. I worked in IT for a long time, and people paid me hundreds of dollars to do very simple tasks that they themselves could have easily accomplished, but because it had anything to do with a computer screen, they automatically assumed that they weren't capable enough to accomplish the task themselves.
