@@anndavis2920 the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself! Put yourself first and keep your standards high, you deserve love and to be treated like the princess/queen you are. Same thing with me. I wanted something more but he wanted didn’t after a long term and long distance relationship. It was on and off. I decided to put myself first and completely leave him now he’s trying to get me back but I’d be so stupid to go back to him. Even if he gave me everything in the world, I don’t see a future with him the way I used to. Deep down inside I still do love him, but I love myself more.

💔My daughter sent me this beautiful song a couple days ago, and heard it, but never paid much attention to the lyrics ‘til today, and it was like a revelation! Word for word, this song describes my heart before, during, and after I gave up, and left feeling like I was “running for my life”, yet never stopped loving him, so it’s not every day you hear a song like Wrecking Ball that describes exactly what happened, and the way it felt knowing i had to make one of the most difficult decisions ever, and there would be no turning back after walking out the door... ...thanx Miley for giving it all you got! 💯💫🕊

This song is so bittersweet. When I was nine, “wrecking ball” was the nickname given to me by my best friend bc he heard me sing this song once. Lol I remember always walking into school and hearing him say, “Hey wrecking ball.” I never knew how much that would mean to me all these years later. I Still wish I could hear him say that. Now I’m 18 listening to this song replaying all our memories and remembering how bad he wrecked me in the end. So bittersweet man… Edit: I’m 19 now and still just as torn…

Hey y’all. I’m not really sure if anybody really cares about this comment haha, but just to give an update. Life still sucks. Every day without him. I do my best to not think about him, but it never helps. I even started writing a book about us, and I really actually like where it’s heading, but I’m starting to feel too connected with it, if that makes sense, and it makes me feel even closer to him, which kinda messes me up a little so idk.. but I kinda just wanted to update bc u truly never know what anyone’s going thru and what it means when u lose a best friend. Wow, I am 62 yrs old I heard the hook of this song playing in my head last night 3/13/22 while I was falling asleep, mind you I am a Christian, I did hear bits of the song because it was popular I felt I was led to listen so I did and received a revelation. Even tho I thought the wrecking ball in my life was destroying me, God says, He made me and loves me, I had to go through and sometimes it’s painful but He will build you up and forgive you. Now “I am running for my life” for real love which is in Christ Jesus the path to finding God who is LOVE HE will use the unusual things to show us the way HE will come in like a wrecking ball tearing down all the mess in our life and He will make us new❤️🩹

speaking of unrequired love, i can totally relate to these lyrics. I intimidate males so much, i understand this. I tend to give too much and i get 'wrecked' emotionally, physically and spiritually in the process. i now realize as i get wiser in my growth that i am worth so much more than most people offer me. I will not ever be happy in one-sided situationships and for that reason i am forced to be and stay alone. So that i can heal my broken heart.

I like to share a story. there is a friend of mine who is so kind and intelligent. she is always the first in our class but she was often bullied because she is a bit fat than our other classmates. But she's pretty both from the inside and the outside. she fell in love with a boy and did everything for him. she even started to skip meals and started to work out. practiced his favorite songs. secretly sent him massages without making it obvious to her parents. she did literally everything for him. And one day she confessed to him. I clearly remember it was valentines day. But...he harshly rejected her. After everything, she did to him... he made fun of her. he mocked her. he bullied her. But she stayed silent because she loved him and still love him. Every time I hear this song I can't help but cry. She is a real lover.
