Funny thing is Sportacus is more than capable of doing the splits but it's likely the outfit that's limiting his power.

@@AltimaNEO He's capable of doing a split mid air though the costume is limiting that. I assume that they have tried it and the costume tore at the bottom so to prevent that they just have a couple stock mid air splits videos of Sportacus.

People have done the splits int he Sportacus costume so it's not that. Some time during the show's production, Magnus had to get stunt doubles cause he hurt himself a bit doing the role so the footage of Sportacus doing the splits mid air when it's nothing but the sky behind him is usually just slightly edited recycled footage from when they filmed the intro

Magnus was one hell of an Athlete. It's very awe inspiring that he took his experience in Sports and actually created a proper positive role modle for kids about being healthy.

So I never watched the show when it originally aired, I was too old for it's target audience, but looking at it now I'm so happy there was a character who enticed children to do sports, exercise and be active. Even if all the kids learned to do was dance, that's a step up then sitting on your butt all day

As a person who watched this show I have very fond memories of it and genuinly got excited by the sports and activities it encouraged. Even tho I was never very active in sports, this show did a good job making it look fun for children

There's a video showing that around 2006/7 where Magnus, in character, is on a show and actually does the jump. So he was able to at a point. But probably wasn't able to recreate it as he got older.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Servings: 4 dozen cookies Ingredients 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips (contains milk) 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional) Directions Heat oven to 375ºF. Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy and lightened in color. Add eggs and vanilla, one at a time. Mix on low speed until incorporated. Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Note: The 2 cups of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips can be substituted with any variety of chip flavor (i.e.- Milk Chocolate Chips, 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips, etc.)
