The Communities Secretary will condemn the rise of anti-Semitism. He’s set to say that while many protesters are "thoughtful, gentle, compassionate people", they are "side by side with those who are promoting hate".
It comes as some critics have voiced concern about the police handling of the demonstrations and the effect they have on the UK's Jewish community.

@@gw7624 Brian is very much on the ball there though. If anything, taken in full context, the version in the founding charter for Likud party is far more eliminatory. As far as the chants by pro-palestine protesters go, it calls for the freedom of Palestinians between those borders of the Jordan river and the Mediterranean sea. Also worth noting that Hamas even removed that part from their charter in 2017 or 2019 (a little bit fuzzy on what year exactly). Let's look at what the Likud party's founding charter says. "The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty." In case that's a bit too confusing for you, the Likud party, of which Netanyahu is a member, declares that only Israel will have sovereignty over the region. Tell me again how Brian was wrong in pointing out the hypocrisy when one is allowed and the other is condemned. The one that is allowed objectively calls for an implicit elimination, or at best assimilation, of the Palestinians in the region.

These institutions have been overreaching for decades, the EU delegitimized itself so much with its overreach that the UK left the EU. Now the ICC wants to overreach and delegitimize itself as well. If the chant were "On the River and the Sea" you could make an argument, but the 2 separate Palestinian areas do not reach from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea. It was first used by the PLO (1960s) in reference to wanting an Arab state over all of Mandatory Palestine (the modern day area covering Israel, Gaza and the West Bank), so to say it is not genocidal is just showing a complete lack of historical knowledge. The Likuds part co-opted it in the late 1970's to be "between the sea and the Jordan there will be only Israeli sovereignty". Again, not appropriate, but 2 wrongs to not make a right, but the idea Hamas run Gaza is whiter than white is absurd when it is explicit in their charter to not only wipe out Jews in Israel, but globally.

Please explain to me what antisemitic attacks has happened in the UK. I haven't heard of anything or jewish people being attacked. I'm south african and we are strongly involved in the ICJ case and ilbehind Palestinian people and I have not heard of any attacks here either except pro Israeli supporters who attacked demonstrators here, some did get arrested at least. I'm trying to find this evidence of antisemism that's exploding but for the life of me I only hear about it l, I haven't seen any.
