Boris Johnson made a surprise appearance at a Tory campaign event where he called for voters to stop 'Starmergeddon'.
It came as part of a final push before Brits head to polling stations on Thursday for the general election.
The former PM was greeted by cheers, claps, whistles and chants of "Boris, Boris, Boris" as he made his way on stage.
James O'Brien analyses Boris Johnson's 'legacy' and asks callers: How can anyone think Boris Johnson could 'bolster Tory fortunes'?

Why was Johnson popular? It wasn't because of his policies or because of his record. It was because people thought he was a funny guy. That shows how shallow a large proportion of the electorate are. We get the politicians we deserve.

It's not unacceptable. You don't vote Democrat and you get a tyrant (Trump has said as much himself), and you will never vote again. Besides, Biden isn't perfect, but he's done well with the hand he was dealt.

if they're not dealt a blow that makes them non-existent, the lack of lessons learnt on their chaos + incompetence will have them scrambling to take the labour party out with those old habits, and we can watch both major parties risking an even bigger collapse years down the line. they'll not want their past record highlighted with corrections to them from labour.

Can somebody explain to me why you don't have mandatory voting for everyone over 18, and why your election is on a fkn Thursday when everyone is at work?!
@user-mv3ee8ty9f
@user-mv3ee8ty9f 6 күн бұрын
Because the polling station is open from early in the morning and late at night so you can vote. Forcing people to vote only results in spoilt ballot papers.
@colmastro4373
@colmastro4373 6 күн бұрын
@@user-mv3ee8ty9fno lol, forcing people to vote ensures everyone has a voice. It ensures a party can't cry "rigged". It ensures that candidates don't win due to a minority vote. Also, your explanation made no sense for a weekday vote. Do you not see that not only will fewer people turn out due to no mandatory voting, but even fewer will turn out due to it being a weekday? surely you can't be that blind and naive?
