I really like the bit around 6:23 where it feels like the song is ending and decaying but the drum groove picks up and it just keeps going

Perfect example. James , Nancy, Pat, Tyler, Gavin, and the rest of the DFA crowd........nailed it. Its one thing to burn a tune to a file, and spread its joy digitally. Its another thing entirely, to not only perform it live, but to individually, or as a team, as a group, as a sound system, succeed with the exploitation of the energy of the audience. LOOK at those people! This is NEW YORK techno at the tip of the pyramid. Now, Shut Up and Play the Hits.........should be in your theater-room blue-ray player...........along with a panda.
@rodriguezge6 жыл бұрын
Coolyards Totally agreed! This song is like a coiled spring that just keeps on building and building and while you think it's a pretty basic chord/ simple lyrics but the percussion and Nancy's synth layering a combination of deep bass lines and the high-range riffs just take over you. I almost exploded hearing this live haha
