I get these comments all the time (change the way you talk, change your mic , the sound is awful etc.) on this video. While these comments may be right, you have to realise that it's a 2 year old video. If you're going to give me tips on how to talk or what microphone to use, watch a more recent video first, as things have changed a lot.

I just picked up an LG OLED C8 and alot of my friends and family ask why it costs so much. But the technical talk bores them, so I'm glad you could simplify the basics of an OLED.
@shmookins3 жыл бұрын
How is your OLED now and do you have any lessons or tips for me? I never used an OLED but I worry about the limited brightness in a well lit room, burn in, and degradation over time. Is your TV still as good as when you bought it? Is the brightness good in a well lit room?
@Cross._._3 жыл бұрын
@@shmookins I still have my OLED and I use it almost every day for gaming and watching Netflix and such. I've had absolutely no burn in issues at all with mine. Actually, the worst my screen looks is when I get fingerprints on it when adjusting it on the wall mount lol. I personally can't tell the difference in brightness quality from the day I got mine, it still looks great. I did recently get myself an Xbox series X, and the HDR on gaming only enhances what's already an incredible experience. Netflix in HDR is one thing, but once you are gaming on it, it's beautiful. However I will say, I do work night shift, so my room is blacked out almost all the time and when it isn't, it's night out, so it's just naturally darker. I cannot really speak on how the tv performs when light is shining through a window and onto the tv as I have little to no experience in that area. Hope this helps answer anything you have :)

Advantages of LCD 1. Zero radiation, low energy consumption, low heat dissipation 2. Slim and lightweight 3. Precisely restore images 4. The display characters are sharp 5. Easy to adjust the screen

Also No Burn-in.
@rwarton12 жыл бұрын
@@BackwardsClarp I think no burn-in is the best part of LCD. Especially when it comes to cell phones used where the screen in on for long periods of time. Examples are people that use their phones for navigation like Uber. I personally leave my phone almost all the time. It stays turned on in the car and while it sitting in the cradle at my desk or in the cradle next to the bed. (It's my night stand clock and alarm) No need for a separate clock when my phone does the job. Apple and Samsung phone suck bad with screen burn which makes them useless after 90 days of my use. I currently use a Moto g power 2021 with an ips/lcd screen and it works wonderfully and only cost $200 USD. Suck on that Apple and Samsung.

Wtf......LCD take the most energy and are the worst for eyes. Lcds Are thickest next to crt,Display are the dullest... Adjusting depends on monitor stand or Idk you are talking about contrast
@rwarton12 жыл бұрын
@@sigmacrow6783 Bla Bla Bla, LCD is still the best screen that will not screen burn. All your other screens are worthless after a few months after leaving the screen on for long periods of time. Yes there pretty and don't take as much energy, but all that is worthless if they only last a few months for users like lyft or Uber for example.

There's almost no competition between OLED and LED. It's like paying 1/4 the price of an OLED for 0/4 of the OLED features. Consumers are getting the sour end of the stick here imo. Great video! Very informative and easily digestable. Don't worry about the mouth breather commenters who can't sit through a 5 minute video without getting distracted lmao.

Strictly speaking an LED screen is a kind of LCD screen. The quality of the blacks has much more to do with the kind of LCD panel used (TN or STN etc.) than with the kind of back-light used (fluorescent or LED). Most LED screens just have one row of white LEDs and a diffuser to spread the light over the whole of the back of the LCD panel, hence they do not have the ability to dim or switch off the back light in areas where black is needed, that would be an extra feature above and beyond the screen just being an LED screen.

is there any difference between LCD panel with LED backlight and a typical LED panel? IS there any technology difference? I am looking to buy only an led monitor but the manual says its LCD with LED backlighting. Any difference in picture quality? Or Are all LED panels are just LCD panels with led backlight..in technology?
@AKIOTV5 жыл бұрын
an LED panel is an LCD panel with LED backlight, as mentioned in the video. This gives it the advantage of being lighter and thinner, and also the ability to control the backlight regionally on some models, making dark areas look more realistic. True LED panels do exist, those are the kind of thing where the pixels actually consist of LEDs. They're the kind of massive screen usually used at events and such.

@@jonnathanjon1 At the moment I'm not very well informed about specific models that are on the market, so I can't really recommend anything. What I will say is not to worry too much about it, most monitors from well known brands are just pretty good and are unlikely to disapoint you, especially if the model you pick has good reviews.
