Absolutely loved Marshy when he was at Oldham. Watched him being converted from a centre half to a centre forward... and he scored some absolute belters. Really glad to see he was still doing the same thing almost a decade later. Absolute star. I believe he did something similar at Ipswich Town, and was highly regarded there too.

I have never known before about his hattrick against Derby but he was the supersub who had brilliant aerial ability both attacker and defender roles.

I think we bought Ian Marshall cause he always used to score against us.,so it was great to see and remember watching some of these goals. He certainly loved scoring and celebrating afterwards.cant remember why he left though
