You obviously have the curiosity and drive to learn a difficult field. I got my start in CB in the 70's to satisfy my curiosity that's a lot like yours. What i found was being limited in frequency, mode, and power was confining. Turning to ham radio made all the difference. And nothing says you can't do both. I know part of this is the social aspect of it, but nothing says you have to give up those friendships to become a ham. Many of us got our start in CB but branched out when we wanted more. With no CW requirement anymore and the test is multiple choice with the question pool published in advance you could pass the extra class in no time. There are worlds of people, cultures, RF and computer tech to explore, and nothing says you have to spend a fortune to do it. I hope you'll consider joining us. I would be happy to help any way i can. That build is really clean btw, nicely done. The design might need some filtering, but the build quality is outstanding.

not bad. funny bc cb legal limit 4.5 watts. it looks like you got a nice shop im building mine but its also on the back burner. Just need the transistor. you should make them and sell um! also are you going to add LPF?

Just one int thing i noticed on most of the vids was that nothing was ment reg input att as these ldmos only needs 2w drive ect i am curious as i never seen any input att circuits reg lyle

Wanted : power transformer for Kris Boomer 2 tube . The Amp is my very first , it has new tubes , caps, diodes and paint 5 years ago . been looking for a transformer for over 10 years now . ldm is cool amp way to go!

63 V Power Supply and 19 A consumption, it's 1200 W DC power for 1800 W Output . Don't you think there is an error in some measurement ?

19A is the Average Current. 1800 W is Peak Power. Note also that the 19A includes the inefficiency of the system or the power that heated up the devices. It would be interesting to put the scope on the voltage drop across the meter shunt and see the real peak, if the filter cap on the DC input of the pallet was removed.

Definetly some error measurement, for 1800W need 2500W of power on 63V around 39Amps

Is there a difference between the mrfx 1k80h and the blf88xr?

Very little. 80 is 65v 188 is 50v. They are interchange.

Put a Spectrum Analyzer on it and see where the power actually is going. This is the problem with RF Man's PA. BBI showed that.

are you planning on using a LPF? ALSO BE HAPPY LEGAL 1.5KW HOWEVERPUT 2 PALLETS TOGETHER AND GET 3. 6KW. MAYBE BUILD TO SELL 500 TO 700

It would cost well over that amount for added mos chips and a combiner circuitry, more like 1700-2000 I would imagine.

Dump the junk Bird meter, it was fine 40 years ago. Today it's not very accurate. Get an LP100A or better yet an LP700, you will be able to see how dirty your signal really is, no output filtering, train wreck.
