This is the Classic series...NOT the new Signature Series. The main difference is the size of the handle loops.....the Sig. line is 40% larger loop handles, which makes a HUGE difference when you're bent over lifting a 20+ pounds of food and boiling liquid out of the oven. Compare on You Tube...."Signature vs Classic Le Creuset"....Hope this helps! Still a nice pot, but the new loop handle size really does make a difference.!!!

Thanks for explaining this! I just received this piece in cool mint since qvc was the only store offering this color. I had no idea LC was still making the classic line and was only produced for outlet stores. Literally just spent 1 hour online trying to find out why this piece was different from the rest of my signature pieces. I guess the metal knob threw my off…

I just bought my first Dutch oven on QVC and I got this size. Actually, I got a smaller one -2-3 servings size- and gifted to my daughter in law. I got super deals on both in 2024. I'm excited for this one but how do I use it? What should I use it for? I was under the impression that I had to use rubber utensils because I don't want to scratch it. They are using metal utensils here. Should I make soup, stew, or bake in it? Thanks.
