Great video! I still can remember the first time I got a look at the Pantera, I thought it was the best car I've ever seen and still is a classic. Sure takes awhile to slow that beast down though doesn't it?

Thank you for your comment ! And yes indeed very difficult to slow the car down, lot of power but very poor braking …

@@sachahebrard Thanks Love the Pantera my neighbor would take me for rides in his and when I got my drivers permit 1975 he let me drive it Around the neighborhood.. Because I loved the motor my first car was a 1970 351c Cougar Eliminator,,Check out Coffee Walk Dennis Collins .. Worlds fastest Pantera ,, great American Pantera history ..and wicked Pantera

that car is really fast. kept rite up with the purpose built race cars. blew by that Daytona. well set up car. well driven, really smooth. and I bet that's not an easy car to drive that fast. that was fun to watch!

Very cool footage. Why is the second camera pointing at the floor? lol. Was it supposed to film the back window? Many go pro holding devices are not made for the g forces, sadly. :( EDIT: Just noticed: It was supposed to look at the gear shifter, didnt it?

I was sad to see the car fail to finish. The guys from the new De Tomaso told me a driver was playing around with the throttle in the pits, and while in neutral he overrevved it and blew the engine? Is that true?

Untrue. Maybe you’re talking about the Apollo that broke the clutch in the pits. Our connecting rod broke in race 1, turn 12.
