All the respect to Toyota for finally winning Le Mans, but sad to realise they've only won because every other competitor decided they won enough and it wasn't worth the money anymore.

The shown displacement is the corrected displacement used to equalize it to a normal engine.

If I’d design a le man’s race car that had an internal combustion engine it would be a 4 liter naturally aspirated FPC V8 that revs up to 10500 rpms that runs off of E100 ethanol.

1936 Le Mans was planned to be held on June 14 & 15, but it was cancelled, because the workers going on strike to the general strike of May & June 1936 in France.

Dude u can't just decide these things because of a movie.....It was a movie not a documentary. A lot of things happen in reality which was no showcased in the movie correctly. For instance the ken miles was in the le mans 1965 too, D.Gurney put the fastest lap not ken miles. Even the bruce McLaren slowed down early, ken miles slowed down much later. There was so many things that happened my friend.

@@anurag15271 It's not because of the movie but the photo finish which was decided by some of the guys in the team. They didn't like Ken Miles so they didn't want him to win.

They won in 1999 with their V12 LMR. The factory team ran with two cars (#15 and #17). The 2nd car did not finish.
