Do i use plus que parfait to describe my feeling or what i was thinking as well ?

quick question: Le Plus-Que-Parfait is combination of = subject + (avoir or etre) in L'imperfait + Past Participle of action verb... That last part has me confused. Past Participle of action verb = passe compose? Also thank you for the videos!
