My imagination carries me into the countryside under a big tree in the 1500's, an ox cart in the field nearby, a bottle of mead, a hunk of bread, and some cheese...oh and an apple. The shadow of the canopy moves and stretches with the late afternoon sun. The air is full with summer forest air. And my partner plays her lute and time slows and the world fades into the background as the music carries me, one phrase after another into a world without time or gravity. I become the music and coexist within the summer scenery around me, dark leathery, late August leaves rustle. I feel lucky, such music in my life, and become stretched out across a feeling of perpetual deja vu, while simultaneously, somehow, frozen in time.

Puisque vivre en servitude, Je debvois triste et dolent. Bien heureux je me repute, D'estre en lieu si excellent. Mon mal est tant violent, Mais Amour le veult ainsy Veuillez en avoir mercy (bis) Vostre beauté sans pareille, Ne doibt prendre à desplaisir. Très belle interprétation, ma préférée ! j'aimerais seulement savoir de quoi traite cette chanson, j'ai du mal à en saisir le sens, si quelqu'un à une traduction à me proposer je suis preneur !

Sandrin chante son amour douloureux, qu'il qualifie de "servitude". On entend d'ailleurs : "Mon mal est bien violent/ Veuillez en avoir merci " et "Sans vous je vis en mourant".
