The meaning behind the title is something along the lines of : Eve ate the apple of knowledge in the Bible even though she was forbidden to, so she was punished. Psyche is a woman in greek mythology who was the lover of a god (Cupid I think) and the only rule was for her not to look at his face when they slept together at night. But she did it anyway and dealt with the consequences. And The Bluebeard's Wife comes from a french tale in which Bluebard said to his 7th wife to do whatever she wants in the house EXCEPT open the 7th door. But she did it anyway and found all the previous wives of Bluebeard, murdered. So she was able to defeat him by doing something forbidden. So this song is basically saying "We're gonna do things that are forbidden because we don't care about your opinions on how we should be and how we should act". And that's so badass ! They really are breaking all the stereotypes that come with being a female idol in this industry.

I love this song but Fire in the Belly is definitely my fave bside on this album. Their latin-inspired tracks always hit and I love that they incorporated a tiny bit of Spanish.

I’m still listening but I think it’s supposed to sound like a rhyme? Anyone else correct me if I’m wrong “Eve, Psyche (sounds like SYKE) and the Bluebeards Wife” It’s not a complete rhyme but it sounds a lot better saying it. Although I know it’s pronounced the other way. This is how I say it 😂
