I'm in love with Lea's raw voice. The music producers on Glee should be arrested for studio processing it so goddamn much, she isn't a Disney star she doesn't need autotune and studio engineering.

Lea Michelle is incredible! She gives me chills when I here her voice! I love her Glee and can't wait for the season to start this fall. She was meant to be on Broadway!

Very true. She originated the character of Wendla in the original workshops to the full production Off Broadway. She was offered Eponine just as they got news that Spring Awakening was being transferred to Broadway. She's talked in intervies about walking home from the theatre with her bff and SA co-star Jonathan Groff and being in tears because it was such a hard decision. She'd dreamed of playing Eponine, but SA was her baby and she couldn't leave when it was finally going to Broadway.

Lea has such a ping to her voice!!!! Every time she sings the bit at 2:08 I get goosebumps and it just goes straight through me. She is just so good

She should have been Eponine. She's played her before and her voice is outstanding. Hell, she was offered the role for the Broadway revival but turned it down for Spring awakening.

I think to the general public, the long and high notes are usually the hardest to hit, so if the performer can do a decent job with hitting the note, the audience will respond with applause. Everyone is already aware of her gorgeous tone and it's out of place if you start clapping at the beginning, especially if another number just finished and the audience was already applauding.

This girl has the voice. But LEA SALONGA stil has my heart. Lea = Voice + Emotion. :)
