I'm 33 now, and back when I was a teenager, somewhere around 17 years old or so, my parents and my older brother *[4 years my senior]* went out of town for one of my cousin’s weddings, and to which my teenage angsty, ignorant, naive, deeply troubled, and relatively codependent self, who “didn’t want to leave her boyfriend” *[excuse me while I introduce this frying pan to my face and then go and bury my head in the toilet from fear of my ghosts from teenager’s past coming to show my what a silly fool I once was, lol],* decided that she didn't want to go, however, during this time I thought to myself, what better opportunity to install a couple of 12” subs and stereo system into my parent's minivan that they left with me to drive and go pick up way more friends than there were seats in the minivan to take many “road-trips” with *[not actual road trips, by the way; any fellow grass heads will, well, those around my age should, at least, know what I mean, lol],* and bump the ever-living shit out of that trusty burgundy minivan, than those few days of parental freedom? I've got to say, pulling up to a red light with a van *packed full* of people, including sitting on the floor lol, not to mention full of smoke, and seeing this much older gentleman to my right and in his minivan, mind you, who was sitting *very* close to his steering wheel *[too close, now that I think about it, lol],* while also wearing the most adorable massive eyeglasses, for me to see this complete and utter look of confusion and slight terror develop on his face as he slowly turned his head to the left to see me, whoever was sitting shotgun, and my parent's minivan’s exterior shaking every time the bass hit, is a memory and mental image that I will never forget. 😂💀 Whether or not he noticed the 8+ people in the back is hard to determine, especially since he slowly turned away, as if seeing, and for the very first time, precisely what the world that he once knew was becoming, and while not once breaking the look of horror on his face, only a few seconds after making eye contact with me, lol. Ah, yes, good times, good times. In case anyone is curious, no, my parents were not upset with me about me “pimpin out” the minivan, especially since I made sure to change everything back the way it was before they returned home. In all honesty, they ended up finding my slight modifications and adventures to be quite humorous, but then again, if I consider all of the other things that I have done throughout the years, whether intentional, accidental, or even due to some connected underlying situation or thing, and that have even involved their vehicles at times, or think about just what I have caused them to endure, in general, throughout several consecutive and long, long, long years, me putting subs and a stereo system in their minivan and riding around anywhere and everywhere is, without a doubt, deserving of a sincere laugh, lol. 🙈🙉🙊
