To use her actions against her years later when she was going through one of the toughest moment she would ever have to experience.. to stand in the sidelines and not support her success and growth.. idk.. she never talks bad about people. Ever. Not publicly. So why am I to believe these people who don’t care that they are sending vial people after her? You’re right. Her friend who shared in the grief.. need to truly be thanking her … considering she’s the reason they were all able to return to their jobs.

You should hear her sing “Angels We Have Heard on High” it’s on her Christmas album. 😍😍 you will NOT be sorry. Even if you don’t listen to Christmas music or don’t celebrate Christmas it’s such a beautiful song and the perfect voice to go with it

The reason why is because she sang it during a scene of the episode that was for Cory/Finn when he did. It was the only time she appeared and sang. It was incredibly memorable and this is the reason why you think of him with this song.

She’s very smart if you think about it. Cory’s passing triggered me in a way that mentally messed with me for years. I can’t imagine what it would do to her to see that episode. She’s protecting herself. Smart girl. Heartbreaking. But smart.

I think she is. She’s grown a lot and I think she’s truly at peace right now and grateful for all the memories she has ❤️❤️

She only had 2 times in the whole series where she was allowed to choose. The rest was not up to her. It was the creative teams decisions.

@@danielmacerin1518 yes! She was able to choose two songs. Both of which were in season 5. The first one was for the episode called The Quarterback in tribute to Finn/Cory. The song was “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. And then in the 20th episode of season 5, she sang Glitter in the Air by Pink.

She’s great with saying things that mean something deeper than we can actually comprehend. She’s done that before and I made that into a tattoo. She didn’t mean it would be fake. But in that time it had been months since he passed away. To channel that deep pain she may have needed something that represented more than just finns death… but also Cory’s. It was also a way to connect with the people in the room as well as the audience. Mourning a character on a show is one thing, but mourning the character AND actor is another. Idk it’s hard to truly say what she means by that.. but that’s all I can think of. I know she wasn’t acting it’s obvious she wasn’t. But I get where you’re coming from.

There was a certain controversy when this episode was announced, and a lot of it had to do with what you’re questioning. Glee had already done this once: it stopped production and development of an episode and wrote one about Whitney Houston’s death instead. You could argue that it was tasteless profiteering, but there was also a solid argument to the contrary: Glee had built episodes around particular artists before (many, many times), and Whitney deserved the same treatment. What better time and better way to honor her? But essentially what happened here is that the producers did the same thing in an impossible situation. They asked the writers and the crew and the actors - Cory’s friends. Cory’s girlfriend. People that he loved and that loved him in return - to take their very new, very real grief, and channel it into fictional characters. The episode was just like every other, and so it’s clear that they were all doing their job just as they always had: shooting and reshooting scenes, recording and mixing songs in a studio, saying words that weren’t theirs and performing songs that would eventually be broadcast worldwide and mixed into albums for others to buy. Nothing about that episode was real. Lea and Chris and Naya and Amber were portraying the grief of Rachel and Kurt and Santana and Mercedes, just as they’d portrayed all of their characters’ other feelings and emotions. They were being forced to pretend to grieve a friend that they were already grieving. Of course Lea wanted a song that felt real. That was the closest she was going to get to genuine in an episode where someone had written her feelings for her. So I think it’s really simple: she herself grieved on her own, not on the set of a television show, but she was able to take the song and make it about how she really felt for him outside of what Glee told her to feel. The fact that she hasn’t seen the episode says a lot, I think. Sorry for the rant. I may have had feelings on the issue.

@@nicolefrances.c yeah I’m sure Leas Dad Loved Cory and misses him Cory’s dad was seen with Cory when Lea was filming in New York for glee season 4 so that means a lot Cory’s dad was probably crying when he heard the song cause I believe when Lea was onset for make you feel my love on glee for the Finn memorial she was with her dad because she was to sad and In a deep hole to be alone and had a hard time going back to work on glee after Cory passed away it was probably hard for Lea to come back cause that show is where she met Cory and they fell In love with each other and began dating and living together and Cory was supposed to propose to Lea on her birthday before he died how sad 😔😢❤️
