Great job, if you struggle with expanding foam, an easier way is just to use gorilla glue expanding foam, it's activated by water and cures fast like, 1-2 hours and you're done, no nasty smells too. You screwed the Cork in so you wouldn't need to hold anything in place (like I had to with my glass terrarium) it works amazingly well! Everyone loves a time saver and less fuss 😀 great job once again, looks great!

Awesome build... I really enjoyed watching it. Just getting some ideas for my little Leachie that's getting bigger. Can I ask? Does the light provide any heat? I like the way it lit up the whole enclosure. So nice.

@@billiescott4949 they have a plastic liner on the bottom but they still sell an external catch pan as you never know. I can’t say about condensation yet. But I think I’m going to switch my dart frogs over to these possibly next year. I’m sure I will hack it so it works to good standards.

just got one of their enclosures to change out my gargoyle gecko's enclosure. For those who are watching this video because it's one of the most recent, just know that the enclosures aren't the exact dimension listed on the website. I got the 15x17x24 and it's really 14 1/4x16 5/8x little less than 24. If you have hardscape that requires a certain width just realize that.

Leap cages are great just wish they had a 2x2x4 for chameleon but wife green lighted me to get some Carpet chams so do not need that big and leap has me covered. I guess for my Panther Kosmo he is not getting a girl friend anytime soon. Awesome build love how you made it work even with the separation of the expanding foam

I wonder if they'd actually do 2x2x4 or some other similar size since their sizes are close to usual exo Terra-like sizes but note. I actually went with one or theirs because of that -- it dimensions fit exactly in the spot I had for it 😆 Might have to do with what fits with the plastic they use and size it comes in? 🤔 Now I wonder where the exo Terra sizes come from 🤔

Very glad I came across your video. I am waiting for a 36x17x22 Leap to arrive. Planning a bioactive setup for either green or black tree skinks. Perhaps one of each. Doing my homework on fill-out techniques, since the walls are drillable (I have always had glass prior to this). I am going to try a mix of screwed wood and cork hard pieces. Not sure if I'll use the expanding foam, and/or silicon. Just taking my time to essentially "measure twice, cut once".

Hey what’s the ideal temp and humidity for leeches? Just room temp and keep some moisture in there?

Had the same issue with leap habitat and expanding foam, I also used silicone to get it more secure. Next time I'd likely do a silicone below the expanding foam as seen others do for glass enclosures. The background graphic also got a bit wiggly but didn't come loose, I covered everything in gorilla glue and coconut fiber so not noticable. Also had some qc issues with bioactive bottom plastic insert was missing (but they got me a replacement), the holes in the bottom of the sides weren't fully punched (they offered a full replacement but was already built, I used scissors to open them up), the leveling stick thing took like an hour to fully get in with a hammer ... But almost done with built and fairly happy for the price and weight, and think they should be able to get the QC issues fixed as they're all pretty minor. Oh also they sign people up for UPS notification bit it's a different company brand and they don't say what's shipping so just gotta guess the ups notification was for it 🤦‍♂️ Omg I didn't think of I could take off the top and entrance after it was put together, that'd make things so much easier 🤦‍♂️

Yeah taking the top off along with the door is a game changer for builds. I agree there are some quality control issues. I have like 7 leap cages coming in tomorrow. I’m going take pics of every single one I find and send it to them. I have a brilliant idea to make it so the foam doesn’t peel again without silicon or any adhesive. You’ll see it in my next build!🤫

Hey Cheyenne! It has stick well so far. But if you watch my leaf tail gecko build I have a much better solution to a background in a leap habbitat build so check it out. I get my cork rounds from reptile expos and reptile shops
