This lovely hymn is the deepest prayer a parent, or anyone who works with children, can pray. Please Lord, lead my children to Thee. As Christian parents, it's a topic seldom far from the forefront of our thoughts. Prayer is such a powerful tool in the Christian parent's toolbox. Sometimes, it's the only tool we have. So, parents and those who work with children, pray this prayer often. Then trust the Lord with our children.
This song also has a sentimental meaning to my family. It was sung the day my father chose to follow the Lord through baptism.
Some of you may have noticed that August has been a sparse month for uploads on Songs and Everlasting Joy. There was, in fact, only one upload on the first week of August. It has been a technologically challenging month for me! All my old computers, which we have been nursing for years, became impossible to deal with. This made it impossible to upload videos to KZfaq (as well as record the songs to start with). This music was recorded before it became impossible to record and after it became impossible to upload. So, it has been waiting here, unable to have a video made until now!
Praise God, He provided a way to upgrade to a brand new computer earlier than we thought we would be able to. So, the problems with uploading and work are sorted out. Having a new computer, after nearly 12 years with the same one, comes with its challenges. My new computer doesn't have the same ports as the old one, so we will be searching for an adaptor cord to go between my mixer and the computer. Hopefully, we will find that this week so I can record again. If not, there will be another gap until that problem is solved. But I am grateful that at least the computer is reliable and able to do what I need it to do. Praise God for that!
