@@peter-rg9jf It's definitely less sad than having to say good bye to your loved ones, so yes, I'd say so. In addition, the lamb could ask his wife then, what she had experienced during death and finally get an answer for his questions as well.

On my first playthrough I married one of the recruited bosses from anura, I don’t remember his original name, but I called him Eligaku, he was already one of my favorite, later I unlocked marriage which I didn’t know existed. I gave them te skull necklace, and by god I got tremendously attached. Once I say the message that they were at old age my heart sank. I had unlocked the funeral doctrine instead of the revival one, so when I saw they began the death animation I might have actually cried a little bit. I had a graveyard with all the followers I had in that playtrough. But Eligaku got their own decorated grave next to the temple. Even now, when I see that tombstone with flowers, I cant help but feel a little sad. God this game does things to you in your first playtrough.

Reminds me of my second spouse... A madlad called Thorjuljul I married after countless pranks on the only follower who was given to me as a heratic (therefore named Heraticc) until he told me to kill the guy amd I refused. He ate deathly soup and survived... Twice at a young age (the soup was not for him he just ate it before the elder because I had elder useless doctrine)... Gave him the skull necklace and got scared that he would be turned old even with it considering I also gave Heraticc the necklace (so i could watch the drama infinitely) but Heraticc died and that made me super paranoid so I kept turning him into a demon and it seemed to work.... He turned elder at age 105...at which i regretfully made a holiday, spent the day with him and ascended him as dusk struck..... It was sad but quite the adventure... Thorjuljul was a goddamn madlad.... Mad fish man xD

I did the same for my first spouse, a special graveyard, opposite the general graveyard, decorated with candles, a fountain, and more, I regret not choosing the resurrection choice...but, I can always see them...but, I wonder, could I have done better? I had a skull necklace...I could have had more time...why didn't I? I had no reason not to...I regret that action the most

Lambert woke up suddenly, breathing heavily. He'd had a bad dream again. But this wasn't a nightmare, Lambert was almost immune to them at this point. It was THAT dream, the one where he and Camellia lay down together under the beautiful night sky. They huddled close together, not because it was cold, but because they wanted to be as close together as possible. Normally, a dream like that would be welcome with open arms, but for Lambert, it filled him with immeasurable guilt. He knew that that day would come, and he tried to mentally prepare for it. But no amount of preparation could prepare him for when it finally happened. In the moment, Lambert felt nothing, for he had to numb his senses to channel such glorious power. But he remembered one thing: Camellia's smile. Lambert, even with all of his power and knowledge, didn't know what the afterlife was like. Was it as beautiful as he and his beloved followers hoped and believed? Was it a place of confusion and chaos, or eternal torture and suffering? Was there even an afterlife at all? Her smile, her beautiful smile. That was Lambert's one comfort, that there was an afterlife, and it was beautiful. Lambert felt a wave of emotions well up inside him. He quietly left the cult's encampment and walked to that place again, that place where he and Camellia gazed up at the stars. Tears streamed down his face as he quietly sobbed, not wanting his followers to see his moment of weakness. Lambert collapsed to his knees, overcome with sorrow and regret. "Why her" he whispered to himself, "Why her? The only one I loved. Why?" But there was no one listening to him. It just Lambert and the starry night sky.

I mean I didn't see the revival doctrine as evil. I wanted to keep my cultists long lived and happy. And yes, I did technically ascend a few people, and I did also use them in a few fights, but when you can just resurrect them, it's not that big of a problem.

That would be an amazing game, even outside of the context of Cult of the Lamb: The player character, having lost their spouse and consumed by immense grief, makes a deal with an ancient eldritch deity to create a cult in it's name in exchange for their spouse's resurrection. Throughout the game, you expand your cult and battle rival groups, and discover ancient texts and encounter other entities who subtly warn that the deity you made the deal with is not to be trusted. The ending you get is determined by your actions throughout the course of the game.

There’s always two perspectives when playing this game, you can be a compassionate kind and caring shepherd for your flock guiding them,loving them, keeping them safe and loved like the lamb does here. Annnnd then there’s those who will just maximize their cults work for them till they drop them revive them so they can keep going. Both are good, but ones definitely better XD

I could "hate" cougar for that crying voice on the end. It makes me shed a few tears too. Its been a very long time since I gad some tears in a while. Honestly thank you. I appreciate this few moments. My emotional state looks more like Lambert's in the end. A hole is there, where once was a heart. Such times remember me, that I am not only life, but also am alive to enjoy what time brings to every soul. P.S: i still have aheart, but less emotions

Dang, this feels so bad for this little lamb, he found something that no dark magic or ritual of the dark lords cannot give him n it's Soo beautiful n heart warming even for those who have no heart, him n Camellia were like soo close to their hearts n souls r one n will never be separated from another, but when this ritual started he lost the one piece of himself that has lost in soul n that he said the hole in his heart is sadness, loneliness n the world is Soo heavy in his soul to the point I think he'll keep thinking to himself, "why did I want to make this cult, is it worth it or am I just doin something wrong, not for everyone who join but for someone like Camellia, n if so will I find the place to see her again, I don't know but when that day comes for me, I'll be there for u my love", that hurts me n that feeling is all too familiar but I have to survive n make myself stronger to live until my time comes but for this little lamb, I feel sad n I forgive him for his choice to make that cult, so yeh thx mate n keep making dubbing comics like this one for all our hearts to feel whole like he did

My Lambert was approached by a lil blue bunny follower and they confessed their love for him. They married and I made sure they got a smooch every day; even would give and extra smooch after returning from my crusades. Yesterday they passed away from old age, and my poor Lambert had to bury them and had a lovely funeral. They got a special tomb and now rest peacefully at the center of our cemetery. R.I.P Blue Bunbun...
