Glad to see more women adopting safety razor. My wife has two different antique gillettes and still grabs my safety razors. I “bought her” a leaf razor, that I will grab and use now haha

Absolutely the best review of this leaf blade out there, thanks 💙 will save up for this one, im so sick of the plastic garbage. I went from the cheapest bad razors that irritated my skin very badly to pricey better ones but those drained my wallet and were such a waste so this seems as the perfect solution, i would love something sustainable that i dont have to throw away every month or so

Girl! I just bought one of these!! I am so done with my traditional safety 🪒 I have the worst razor burn and I can’t do my wrinkly ass knees.

Interesting and complete review of the Leaf. 👍🏻 I have been a traditional wet shaver for many years and I love my collection of safety razors. Some provide a milder shave, some a more efficient shave. I agree, there is a learning curve. Most important, do not push pressure on a safety razor like you may do with a cartridge razor. This is the most common mistake. Btw, many head shavers prefer the leaf over a safety razor. Greetings Patrick (Switzerland)

great review! I have no problems shaving my pubic hair with a safety razor, and its great for what little facial hair I have, I would have no use for the leaf blade since I don't razor shave my legs or arms.

You can also get a silicone sleeve for the Leaf for better grip.

You can actually send the tin back to leaf when it’s full for them to recycle! How much did you get yours for when it was on sale?

I put mine in a babyfood jar & seal it & dispose of them...I dont want them to keep my blade tin if I send it to them to recycle the blades lol

This was a better review of this razor than all the shaving channel videos. Well done. I'm still on the fence about purchasing a Leaf razor, and not sure I will as I like my DE items. Can I ask a question? What are the best blades to buy for this razor. For some reason the single edge blades I bought do not completely lay flat. I have watched loading videos and I have made sure that the blades are secured in the notches on the side but they bow out in the center until I have flattened them with the screw, it's almost as if the blades are too long. The Leaf brand blades fit fine and go in easily so I am very confused. Has anyone else encountered this? Did I just get an off brand? Any advice would be appreciated.

Leaf Razor is the ABSOLUTE BEST Razor EVER! I have used one for over a year now & I will NEVER use any other razor the rest of my life...150% devoted leaf razor user here...no other razor compares! 2 boxes of disposable blade cartridge refills cost as much as 1 of these FOREVER razors ♡ TRY it if you havnt yet...You will LOVE it...Man or Women 💯🙌💞

Hello! I have used both razors for down-there-care and I personally prefer the Leaf Shave to do so. I think if you are very experienced and good at using a traditional safety razor, it does have one pro over the Leaf Shave. If you examine the Leaf Shave, you'll notice that the blade guard creates a margin at the top, which means you have to extend the razor head deeper into a crevice to shave those hairs. A traditional razor's blade is right on the head's edge so you can nick hairs precisely. When using either razor type, my best tips are to lather well and stretch your skin taut and flat before shaving an area. I find putting one leg up on my shower bench makes this easier. @@missmethodical Thank you so much! Why do you prefer the leaf for down-there-care? I got a Rockwell 6S, but I haven't quite got the hang of it. It requires more concentration/time and I have to wear contacts if I'm shaving in the shower. I'll give it more time, but I'm strongly considering switching to a leaf.

Hello 👋🏻 I recommend changing your blade every use or every other use (depending on the surface area you cover). A dull blade doesn't work very well and can actually cause skin irritation because it will tug on your hairs instead of slicing them cleanly. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by.

I previously purchased a safety razor and did cut myself and it did scare me so discontinued use. Maybe in the future I will purchase this type of razor during a sale. Have you had to travel with a safety razor and how does that go? I’m sure tsa would likely confiscate it.

Good question! I actually meant to make this point in my video but it slipped my mind. You can bring an empty safety razor on a plane, but not the blades. Blades must travel in checked luggage. I actually saved my unused plastic cartridge razors for travel occasions where I don't have a checked bag. When I run out of those, I plan to purchase disposable razors made from bamboo when needed. Hope this helps!

If this sounds too risky for you, I would try searching for other "safety razors" available to you. They may not have the same design as the Leaf Shave, but they will be just as eco-friendly! I have had this razor for almost a year now, and I keep it in my shower. The finish is showing zero signs of wear!

I've watched several review videos but I still wonder: do you have to use a shaving soap or cream with the Leaf? I have never used either and I really don't want to if possible. Thoughts?

You're probably going to want to use a shave soap. Although I just used regular soap with my safety razor for a long time and it worked fairly well. You can also use conditioner

I feel you 😬 I recommend waiting for a sale! In the long run, it might save you money compared to repeatedly spending on plastic cartridges. In any case, you don't have to purchase this specific safety razor. Plenty of others are way more affordable! Thanks for stopping by
