I got shivers with the shot of leafpool and kit hollyleaf and leafpool crying over holly's body. I love this!

The ending sequence is so striking. Leafpool's inner monologue is never explored much in the books, leaving her feeling sort of shallow and bland about how everything turned out. The very last two frames hit the hardest--bright, happy, fresh, excited, full of life young Leafpaw meeting StarClan for the first time and then, years later, the bitter results. You're right, StarClan played so much of a role that they can arguably be blamed for the damage done but they shove all that blame right back onto Leafpool. She was a tool they used and were happy to discard. You would think someone like Yellowfang or Bluestar would have shown empathy and advocated for her, considering how StarClan puppeted their lives as well. Huge missed opportunity on the Erins imo

Sometimes I forget she even died because her death was so anticlimactic. Leafpool deserved better 😔

The switch from Crowfeather backlit by the sun to him at the full moon gathering rejecting that he was the father of kits… very creative. Love this whole video to bits, Leafpool is such a wonderful character

Leafpool and Squirrelflight have been so tortured by not only the narrative but the fanbase as well and deserve so much justice. This pmv is so well put together!!

Excellent PMV. Love the colors and the mood, you captured the song so well. I LOVE how you didn’t have Leafpool break down crying when Hollyleaf confronted her with the death berries, it always stood out to me that she was so calm and collected while Hollyleaf was frantic. I always saw it as her holding the power in the situation, while Hollyleaf was desperate and lashing out. Seems that gets lost a lot in fan work so I appreciate the inclusion. And the contrast in the end with Crowfeather being within the sun and then the moon??? Also the lyric “the sound of cars” being over Cinderpelt’s dead body made me giggle a bit. I’m going to hell.

This is AMAZING - Leafpool is my favourite character and so many people overlook how she never had her happy ending. Squirrelflight was forgiven by Jayfeather and Lionblaze. Squirrelflight was forgiven by Brambleclaw. Squirrelflight was made deputy. Squirrelflight had children of her own. Squirrelflight became leader. Leafpool was never truly forgiven by her clan mates in the same way, people still gave her distrustful looks and her children never really forgave her and still felt awkward around her until she died. Her children even argued over her literal dead body laying in the middle of camp about what she did. She deserved so much better and even in Starclan she was never truly forgiven.

this is STUNNING and so well portrayed. i love leafpool so much and WOW you did her story justice. i cannot get over how hard her life was and she never really was redeemed, even in starclan. ashfur was allowed into starclan and accepted by everyone for 'loving too much' when he attempted the murder of four different individuals, not including organizing firestar's death with hawkfrost. leafpool brought two of the three prophesized cats into the clan and the clans would not have survived without her. was she flawless?? no, but she wasn't as flawed as some of these other cats who skated by with no consequences.

I think this is one of the few Warrior Cats pmvs that is not only extremely book-accurate but touches something in me.

THIS IS GOING TO MAKE ME CRY!!! The emotion in this is so strong and it really makes me feel for Leafpool. I really like how she doesn’t look sorry for her actions in that last frame in StarClan. She looks like she’s bout to argue that it’s the right thing and I love that. This PMV may have single-handedly made Leafpool my favourite character

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL…. the pmv fits the emotion of the song sooo well and the apathetic way you portray leafpool here hits so hard. “there’s no hope for me” MAN!!!

I absolutely love how you can see her going through the five stages of grief in mere moments!!! I just realised and it’s awesome!! I love how how the colours represent the album itself and the art is so pretty!!! Denial 1:43 - her head is up, eyes squinched in a way that reads ‘w-what?’ Or confusion and even ‘seriously?’ Anger 1:45 - her head is brought forth almost challengingly, her eyebrows down into classic angry eyebrows, her ears up a brought back, her face seeming sadly smug Bargaining 1:47 - her face changes to appear more docile and a more pleasing look on her face! Depression 1:48 - her head is brought down as she averts her gaze, a sad smile on her face as she slumps, her ears bringing down Acceptance 1:50 - a pure look of defeat, she has no choice but to accept her reality, her ears down her head low :c It. Is. AWESOEME!! This is incredible!!

Honestly this just shows how leafpool never got her happy ending. usually in warrior cats when a character dies they get a happy ending by joining starclan, but it really goes to show how brutal starclan can be. based on how starclan/all the other cats acted towards leafpool when the secret was revealed, im surprised leafpool didnt end up in the dark forest.

I love you illustrated Leafpool's grief and frustration in this! I rarely ever see Leafpool pmvs that focus on how quick her life changed because of a choice she made when she was young. The death berries scene was done in such a way where (similar to the books) she actually smiles when she tells Hollyleaf that death would be easier than living through her clanmates' hate. Very beautiful!

I really like how you portrayed Leaf's emotions in this, and that you showcased all of the loss and hardship she's had to endure. Going through constant grief will leave you worn and often hopeless, I always thought she must've felt truly alone throughout many moments in her life. Wonderful work.

I have went back to watch this video over and over again multiple times, I simply can’t get it out of my mind. It’s excellent. The song choice, colors, character designs (I LOVE THE CONTRAST BETWEEN CROWFEATHER AND BIG FLUFFY NIGHTCLOUD, despite the fact that they’re both black windclan cats!!) and storytelling is just perfect. I have always had this underlying feeling of worry for Leafpool when reading about her in the books, because her life objectively sounds miserable. Eventually I had to brace myself before I read any scenes from her pov, because it just left me feeling hopeless for her. When you stack everything up, it definitely seems like the writers barely explore how horrible everything must’ve felt. I don’t think the Erins are aware of how unfair everything really must’ve been for her. She gave away everything she had, and recieved nothing but blame for all the things she was told to do. This video explains this perfectly. The writers seem to barely give her any emotions, when realistically, she should be heartbroken, bitter and unsure if she even wants to join Starclan. All the facial expressions convey this perfectly. She just looks hopeless, tired and bitter, you gave her the emotions the writers never gave her.

been meaning to write something about this for a couple days now. first of all this is so beautifully done... the color scheme is gorgeous while also managing to feel a bit bleak and dull at the same time if that makes sense... there's so much emotion packed in here and you can really feel for leafpool throughout the video. i especially love how you portrayed her mental state. the deathberry scene is something i've seen countless interpretations of but none that i've seen tend to get it quite right. UNTIL NOW!!! you really captured the energy so well, which is something i also love about your other leafpool video, future me hates me. such a great job overall, thank you for sharing your beautiful work!!!

Amazing job, i love all the artwork and little details. My favorite part was on 0:35 , when Leaf was turning back, the 3 three different colored lights in her eyes representing the three. Awesome job❤❤❤

I never really thought to much about the characters lifes in the warriors books but people always miss how leafpools death effected jayfeather but still both of firestars children deserve better lifes even though squirrelflight er star now is still developing because they had bad lifes in different ways like squirrelflight, so say you were keeping a secret for your sibling and jt was that you have to say their children are yours byt let's say one of them just tells the secret to everyone then your boyfriend is mad so he literally either abuse you or act like your not there. now for leafpool well I don't want to make this comment that long but you getmthe point 😅

Not me being sucked back into warriors because of amazing PMV’s like yours. Leafpool has always been one of my favorites and you portrayed her tragedy so well. Two scenes that particularly hurt: 1) Leafpool and Squirrelflight being sweet and happy kits when they were younger transitioning to Leafpool comforting her sister crying over her broken relationship as a direct result of Starclan’s influence, as Leafpool looks up at the stars with an expression that screams “Was it worth it?” 2) Mothwing and Leafpool (Mothpool shipper till my dying breath) cuddling in the grass being super close transitioning to them being so distant because of Mothwing’s lack of faith and own personal trauma with Starclan.
