Congrats on the new addition, Whit. Old Canucks fan here. The fanbase is undoubtedly cocky and fickle, which is pretty similar to Toronto. The Oil are definitely the favourites, and anyone with a brain in their head should see that. But you are also a cocky one my friend. And FYI - Drai wont be lining up as often with Petterson. You forget about Lindholm, who is arguably our best defensive center. Our D is much bigger and better than in years past. Good luck in front of the net and in the box. If we get better secondary scoring and our goaltending is better than yours, it will be a competitive series. Here's to what will a great Canadian series. Hopefully you dont jump off the bandwagon again if the Nucks win, bud! 😆

Canucks fan here. That video of that kid was disrespectful to the game and straight up bad parenting. Now, people underestimated the Canucks all year, waiting for the shoe to drop and it never did. Van plays a more open game, compared to Nashville, so I think this series is going to be fast and awesome to watch. Edmonton over the past few years got a lot of playoff experience, which we don’t have, and honestly, that’s what this year is all about for the Canucks. We’re all just happy we made the second round. There’s a part of me that wouldn’t be surprised we made the Stanley cup or at least conference finals….however I don’t think it’ll happen, but again, that team has surprised us all year round, so you never know.

Oh My! As a Oilers fan, I am not big on the Vancouver Fans, because when the oilers were in the decade of Darkness they loved kicking sand in the face of a 30th place team year after year when they were a constant top of the league team (didn't understand that oilers weren't a rival or even a factor in the league) but man oh man Whit really HATES Canuck fan base! Smyth division rivals we regularly met in the playoffs like Flames and Jets were rivalries. Canucks weren't even an after thought back then. If Canucks fans had a problem with Dynasty Oilers success back then that's on them. Lol They missed the playoffs a few years years went out to the Flames in the first round another 3. And once to the oilers. In the 80s. They really weren't on Oilers fans radar back then. Canucks went to the cup in 94 after the Dynasty was dismantled and it was weight Arnott Buchberger and the Oilers missed the playoffs. Like I said never good at the same time.

On the other hand, the Oilers, after multiple first overall draft selections and getting a generational player like McDavid still haven't done anything in the playoffs. The Oilers are the Maple Leafs West and will have to make roster changes to their core after they get bounced from the playoffs this year.

I never said the Canucks are a great playoff team but what have the Oilers done in the last 25+ years. They've had 4 first overall draft picks including McDavid and they still can't make a decent cup run. BTW if the Canucks lose to the Oilers I'm still happy with their season. People forget Marner was a complete beast against the Bruins in the 2018 playoffs. Bruce Cassidy in pressers saying how they needed to find an answer for him. Signs a huge deal after that and he’s never been seen in the post season since. Add to that his very strange kind of too cool for school attitude, and people in Toronto can’t wait to see him gone. It’s like he’s got a touch of that Pierre-Luc Dubois disease you just don’t want anywhere near your team. Unfortunately Pasta skating right past him to score the OT winner seems like the perfect capstone to his time as a Leaf.

Also worth noting Babcock was probably the last person the guy needed in his ear and everyone knows about the saga between them. Then Babs gets fired and part of Marner probably felt like he was ruling the roost after that. Just a bunch of stuff that didn’t go right, and looking back now, it probably needed to go right for a guy that we know now isn’t the most anti-fragile.

@@user-wf4el1gx3n It probably didn't help that Jim Montgomery said he got a call from Babcock before Sunday's game and gave him some insight/tip on what needed to do to beat the leafs . When i first heard it - I thought it was a perfect case of F you leafs/ Biz but i forgot Marner - probably wasnt far from him either.

GO BRUINS!!!!! What a game!!? What a play to end it!!?? Pasta!!!! Loved it!!! Now onto Florida!? Bruins will have to be good in 2nd round!? Its guna be a tough series no doubt..wouldnt be surprised if it goes 7 games again!? Im sure Bruins should be very motivated to try to win this series and avenge last season!? Bruins did take all 4 regular season games this season vs Florida but the playoffs r different but also its NHL playoff hockey and anything can happen!? Thats what makes the playoffs great is fact anything can happen and any team could win it all!? All the teams that make the playoffs r great teams and the teams r so evenly matched cuz of the salary cap and just the loads of talent in the league!? Theres nothing better than NHL playoff hockey!!!!? Go Bruins!!!!

Vegas this year reminds me of the New York Rangers last year when they got Tarasenko and Kane. To many cooks in the kitchen, throws off team chemistry and same result. Rangers lost in 7 in rd 1 and now Vegas gets bounced out in 7 in rd 1. Same script. It's nice to have the shiny toys until they stop working.
