@@lazyonion8903 Yes, league is making a MMO, They announced it a while ago. they are slowly building up to it with all this new lore, cinematics etc.

My guess, judging by how we just left Viego behind as a crystal, and how the cinematic panned to the music box thingy, he'll be back in a big way in the MMO. Like I'm getting major Lich King type vibes with him in terms of a sleeping evil that's gonna wake up and want to just tear everything and everyone apart. The MMO isn't even a thing and I'm already getting excited over a possible event/expansion involving the black mist and Viego's return lol.

I’m hoping the MMO has like events that come randomly, like Viego’s attempt to revive isolde, the void invasion, etc. like a global event that twists and effects the actual game world for the mmo

The difference is that Lucien's wife was captured by a monster that fed on her suffering. Viego's wife Isalda on the other hand died of natural causes and was actively working against him via Lucien's wife, Lucien, the doll brought to life, etc. In other words Isalda BLATANTLY doesn't want her husband doing this. Meanwhile Lucien was just trying to free his wife's soul. He had no idea that she was going to come back.

Well one viego was actually corrupted by the mist which takes every goodness in a person and leaves only all the bad....so all that was left in viego is the obsession of bring back his wife no matter what but unlike Lucian he doesn't have the good part of him to tell him he's gone far enough and all that is left in viego is selfishness, sorrow and his obsession basically he's willing to destroy the world for the obsession

@@internetexplorer3999 Yeah, Riot fumbled the "end" of his story, this saga. Everything leading up to that final video was good/alright. Ahkshan should have never been created because he doesn't make any sense in the story, it should have been Yorick and Maokai. BUT it could be explained that he remained motionless because of what Isolde was saying to him. He was doing everything for her and he found out she wanted none of it

His ruination power is the magic of the blessed mists from the Blessed Isles and the magic from his own blade (Blade of the Ruined King) mixed together with his rage, despair, and hatred. I guess they could write in a champion that gave the blessed mists its healing power before it was morphed and twisted into the black mist, but currently, nobody GAVE Viego his power. His immense power was just an unfortunate outcome of the combination of dark magic with seemingly celestial magic, mixed with raw emotion and invested in an ALREADY powerful King. Basically you take someone who is already legendary because of their blade and the power it holds, which is said to be capable of enslaving the entire world, then amp them a few hundred times with dark celestial magics, THEN have those powers become even MORE amped based on emotions felt, and have the guy who has all this at his fingertips unhinged with pure, raw emotion. Seriously, he's pretty damn powerful. And despite Viego getting sealed away, he's definitely not gone for good, just may take another decade to get back to him lol

there is no interest in that, viego is not interested on being the strongest, just strong enough to bring his wife back and the darkin don't care about viego's ambitions either, especially renekton. I actually think viego had some kind of arrangment with the darkin or hoped to achieve something of sort. Maybe he was hesitant because he didn't want to seem like all he wants is power, that he trully just wants to save his wife and he doesn't use that as excuse to destroy the world which i think was the reason of his downfall, though even if he did establish some kind of arrangment the darkin would use him inevidably in their ambitions, i think that's why viego hesitated. I think Viego is actually a very nice guy, considering he didn't kill anyone that wasn't in his way but rather simply mind controlled them in order to control the invedible coming together of forces against him. That's why he is the ruined king, and not the ruined destroyer or some shit. Like just after they beat that lady with the shives he arrived himself. A coward king wouldn't do that he would sacrifice everyone else as he doesn't care, and even when they tricked him and bound him on the ground he didn't call pantheon or any one else, the fact that he fell for the trick shows that he is innocent enough to fall for tricks. He only called pantheon and more minnions to defend him ressurecting his wife probably he shouldnt have done that and finished the fight though he was impatient, but after the ressurection he probably would join the battle again to save pantheon aswell. As It takes a great ammount of delecacy, and care to spend time on achieving control over someones mind instead of killing them off and controlling people through fear and order. Considering pantheon out of all champions being under his controll tells a lot about his heroism and innosence. He would probably stop and free everyone after he got his wife back then go into hiding like Vladimir agreeing with his wife that all his done was indeed bad and he wouldn't do it again. I think the whole thing was a nightmare for Viego aswell, he disliked being the ruined king he only went through all of this pain just for her.

yes the ruined king game is set before this like 7 years before this on timeline ruined king game timeline is when riot show us gangplank rework i think it's on 2015 so yeah 7 years ago it will show you the ruined king story and you will understand many things

in my theory, in the akhsan scene there was a first sentinel tomb but akhsan cant bring back the dead yet so its just my theory that the very first sentinel of light could be Azir and first Ruined is xerath but akhsan cant avenge Azirs death so Akhsan cannot bring back azir, who knows, Riot is full of surprises.
