Jess Miller is an illustrator who began her career as a graphic designer working in toy packaging and in 2020 shifted to illustration and lettering art as she launched her own business. She now works with brands like American Greetings and Casetify and partners with companies including Adobe and Michaels. In this interview we chat about how her past experience informs her current work and what she did to level up her business.

Im so excited for this!! I love Jess. I have been following her on IG for a while now and Im constantly looking back at her work t help guide me. I just stumbled upon your blog and art resources today Elizabeth so Im super excited and grateful you have free resources I can learn from until I build the courage and skills to get my work out there consistently. Im in the planning and building phase. Still early days for me but i'm working persistently and can wait to get things rolling. Thanks again love your content and love these videos. I feel like this is a current trend in a lot of industries. It’s quite sad that companies spend all that time on a person and nurturing a relationship and then don’t renew a contract…but at the same I have been in the state of mind that I get bored and WANT to move on. So… it’s kind of nice to move on to the same niche but different company. I was always scared of this in the past. But now it’s become frequent and it’s normal to always be looking for new jobs.
