Wow what a great lesson. I find Orr “Klassroom” sessions to be some of my most desired pieces of content. Great theory lesson and practical use of the solderweld kit. 👍👕🍋🍋

I can tell y’all a tip an old welder showed me one time in order to see when your aluminum is getting close to temperature take your torch with just the act (heat)on and smoke or blackin your spot that you need to seal(like 2-4 inch’s around the spot) then put it on your regular flame and evenly heat it moving it around it and once it starts cleaning black off of their your close to temp. It’s starts going back to clean looking aluminum

great session jam packed with juicy info from Brian Orr. i was very nervous seeing Brian casually waving that brazing rod near his face.

Is the word that escaped you …… elasticity? Silver prices are controlled by the collector coin industry. To keep people from melting coins the price of the metals within them will always be lower than the coin price.

5:35 I know it's not the point, but trees use active transport, not capillary action. It requires energy and is a limiting factor on tree height.

I hate to be that "actually" guy, but you are only partially correct. Trees (and almost all plant species) transport water primarily by a passive mechanism that more or less optimizes capillary action. Water lost to evaporation in the leaves creates a vacuum that assists water transport by the force of tension. We know nature is a highly efficient machine so wasted energy definitely isn't good... active transport only becomes the primary mechanism when transporting minerals or energy to cells, when evaporation is sub-optimal to facilitate efficient transpiration such as night time or air is completely saturated at 100% relative humidity (i.e., dense fog) or insufficient water saturation near the roots to name a few. Sorry, I'm a bit of a bio nerd :)

I don’t wish to disappoint you but that was a horrible job,a Pakistani shop could do a great job on that with primitive tools and much faster,no pass either!
