Learn about the new C63 Valour from the watches designer Will Brackfield. The watch is a new addition to the MOD-approved Military Collection and pays homage to all three of His Majesty’s Armed Forces. It boasts a thermo-compensated quartz movement ensuring accuracy within +/- 10 seconds per year, along with stopwatch functionality for precise timing needs. Drawing inspiration from the sports chronographs of the 1960s, its reverse-panda dial features sub-dials color-coordinated with each Service. Encased in a 39mm Light-catcher™ case, adorned with the Army, Navy, and RAF insignia on the backplate, it offers versatility with options of two bracelets - the elegant Consort™ and the robust Bader - or a flexible Webbing strap.

Symmetry? I remember the days when the "Christopher Ward" wordmark was at 9 o' clock😀 The C63 Valour is a fine watch though. I dare I say it's one of the best in the range right now and a fine addition to the military line up.

This uses an ETA thermo-compensated HAQ movement. I have a Farer (the now-discontinued Pendine) with a similar movement. That one features a split-second complication. These movements are jeweled and fully-serviceable. It's an excellent choice for a watch in this price range, a tick or two better than the equivalent Seiko Mecha-quartz.

I'm a CW fan but I'm not sure why CW is pushing this movement in marketing. It's a part of ETA's "Fashion line" of movements, a low end category with 4 jewels and poor power reserve. The old C7 Rapide used a superior Swiss Ronda Caliber 5021.D with gold plating, 10 jewels, and a much longer power reserve of 54 months.

@@ilmostro16 Price is why they're using it. The decision to focus on it as "superior" in marketing is still weird to me.

A lot of watch for the money as a thermo-compensated quartz. I’m jealous of his hair however

I think its just this one, they have done quartz chronographs in the past and only a singular colour. I asked him towards the end if you have not got that far yet

Are the numerals hard to read? Some of the footage shows them not very legible.

I think it’s because they are silver, it’s showing as black in some of the shots. They are easy to read I would say.

It's a nice looking watch if a little bland. Quartz Chronographs seem to be popular at the moment but I' m not sure once you get past £400 that they are good value. The movement in this one although very accurate only costs about £50 & is not serviceable as it is assembled using adhesive.
@joelcohen4353
@joelcohen4353 Ай бұрын
That is not true. The movement (ETA G10.212 AM) has 4 jewels and is fully serviceable. It's thermo-compensated and high-accuracy. This isn't a cheap or crappy movement by any means.

@@joelcohen4353 ETA themselves suggest it isn't. The main reason being it is assembled using adhesive
