I know someone else said to have the English translations but, this way it forced me to use my Japanese brain. Extremely useful and has helped me tremendously in learning new words and reviewing. Great sentences too, using a lot of the words I already know.

This is my favorite background listening-vocabulary practice. I like the speaker's voice, slow and fast, and no computer-voice is being used. Only when I don't understand or when I want to see the Kanji then I sometimes take a look at my screen trying to read it. Unfortunately you have produced it only for N5 and N4. It would be great if you could make the same for N3, too. Anyway, thank you very much for this valuable learning material. You have helped me a lot!

I find it difficult to read when the word is split up across the whole screen. I believe the furigana above the kanji or after the word would be nicer. Also the particles at the beginning of the words are strange to me. Example: 姉(あね)は買(か)い物(もの)に行(い)きました。 買い物 is very long and broken up. Instead I suggest: 姉(あね)は 買い物(かいもの)に 行きました(いきました)。 or even better: This would fit well on the screen I believe. あね か もの い 姉は 買い物に 行きました。 Please understand that I really like this video! I think it is a good way to study and I will continue to use it to learn! I am just trying to suggest a constructive feedback. I subscribe and look forward to new videos!

Translating the sentences would be useful for me because I listen to these type of videos as a podcast, without looking at the screen. Also as a suggestion, for people who do want to look at the characters on the screen, dark background is so much better.

Idea! English close captions!? If you were to add an English translation in the captions that would allow people to hide/show it when they want. They could use it as an answer sheet. I'm torn on the English vs no English translation of the sentence. I like how I'm able to think and translate the sentence myself, but it would be nice to know if I'm correct. Any words I don't know I have to pause and look up.
