I am so excited! I just bought one of these in the metallic gray. Sold my 2007 silver RAV4 last week …love these cars . Actually was hard to let go of my old one but ready for high tech! This one had plenty options for me and I’m not a huge fan of the sxe’s black roof. Great review!

My wife and I purchased our new 2022 RAV 4 Prime SE two days ago. Took our first trip yesterday to Portland Oregon 180 + mile round trip. Went 28 miles just on electricity with just a partially charged battery and the rest on gas. When we returned home the gas mpg (just on gas not including electric miles) was 43.1 mpg when we rolled into our driveway. Pretty impressive for winter driving here in Northwestern Oregon. Our old 2010 Prius could probably have not done much better.

I bought the prime se 2 months ago and get 50 miles electric on a full charge. Traded a 19 Adventure model for it. Paid regular price with no markup. So far so good

I was finally able to get my hands on one (SE) last month. Love, love, love. Highly recommend, if you can find one that is not 5, 10, or 15 grand over MSRP. The dealer mafia is alive and well. Thanks Jeff for info.

I love your singing and how you made the video fun. I just got my 2021 R4P yesterday. My maiden voyage was so devastating! It was very very cold here, but I park in a garage. I drove for a half hour FREEZING! There is no heat when its in the electric mode only. I still couldn't figure out to use the gas engine only so I could have heat. It literally blew cold air the whole time, which felt like I was using Air Conditioning!

the prime is awesome per JEFF. FYI... I have been getting 49 to 51 on the EV portion , not bad at all.the last time I filled up was two months ago and I still have more than 7/8 a tank. I have the engine operate once a week since charge the prime only 6 days a week. All I can say, the rav4 prime is fast.

Hi Jeff, love your videos! I just purchased 2021 Rav4 XLE and I'm thinking about installing dash cam front/rear with hardwire to use parking motion mode. Is this against the warranty? Would appreciate your answer! :)

No. I don't see why it should void the warranty. I had a 2018 Camry and went to Best Buy and had them install a 2 channel dash camera, front and back.

The rear seat reminder just works any time you shut down the vehicle it’s just an alarm it doesn’t take in consideration any weight on the back seat😊

Hi what’s the info on new RAV4’s with battery voltage going down? I got a new RAV4 2021 just last June brand new with just 4 miles on it. Got an alert in the Toyota App that battery voltage is down to 10.2 volts bellow the minimum of 12 volts? Any opinion on this?

Hi Jeff, does Rav4 prime SE with weather and moonroof package also come with fabric floor mats plus all-weather mats? My car with same package as yours in the video does not come with regular fabric floor mats but only all weather mats. When I asked the dealer, they said Toyota factory only shipped with all weather mats without fabric mat when the car is equipped with all weather and moonroof package. Is that true?

Mats are always a separate line item. Depending on your region Toyota typically equips with all weather or carpet mats, but only one set, not both

What's the purpose of the breaking button and the parking button?

Parking button is just an indicating light to let you know the parking break is engaged. The breaking button is useful when waiting at train crossings, funeral processions, long signal lights, etc.

Hi sure I will be happy to. Short answer is that allows you to drive the vehicle almost like a stick shift. Or you can just keep it in D for drive and let the car do everything

Please tell the viewers how if a dealer has a Rav4 prime it is going to be priced $10,000 over MSRP if you can even find one at all.

Pricing is different for every dealership all over the country. No telling what each dealer will charge. MSRP is the suggested price. Dealers can go lower or higher or stay the same :)

I have a rav 4 adventure. Less horsepower because it doesn’t have the advantage of having an electric motor but better traction features and drives better with sport mode. The hybrid doesn’t have sport mode.

My dealer always has R4P vehicles on the lot since May, that I'm aware. Choices limited but usually 2 to 4 SE or XSE.

My favorite version is the SE model but not the US version, I prefer Canadian version SE as there is no moon-roof at all, just clean roof and no openings to worry about in the future when rubber seals wear off and leaks start to ruin your life...

US SE comes with no moonroof. You must upgrade to Weather Package to get moonroof. My SE does not have a moonroof. However, my 2013 Highlander Limited does have a moonroof, and I have not had any issues in the 8+ years I have owned it.
