Best lesson on this song. So many tutorials either have it wrong,make it too complex, or leave key parts out. This one was clear, correct, and concise!

Thank you so very much sir. I've watched a half a dozen tutorials on this song and no one I repeat no one has played the outro to the song yet thank you so very much as that was the only piece of the song that I had yet to see and now I know the whole thing. Thank you for displaying the whole song and not just the verses and choruses and two bridges

@@EpicGuitarInstruction, over the past several years I’ve been experiencing major problems with my eye sight. Macular degeneration. I still play every day! I’ve been putting together a kind of fantasy set list. My problem has always been isolation from other players so I’ve never really learned whole songs, just bits and pieces. So I’ve made up a list, as if I was actually in a band playing a gig. I’ve made a list up of my favorite tunes from my favorite era, mid 60’s to mid 70’s. So far I’ve got about 25 songs. I go through the entire list at least once a week from start to finish. I’m just adding some Bob Segar tunes and Bad Finger. Much better. I;l be checking in often. Thanks for your efforts and support! Stay safe and healthy my friend and may prosperity follow you throughout your days!

Most people cant imagine or realize just how challenging that condition is. Hang in there my friend and keep enjoying that guitar. I've been wanting to learn this song for a while as a beginner guitarist. This is definitely the best video to break the song down step-by-step! One suggestion @EpicGuitarInstruction - I think it would be very helpful if you played the entire song through to close the video out so viewers can see the entire song put together.

HI Jennifer and thanks so much for checking out this lesson and for your kind words - most appreciated. So glad that u liked this lesson. In some lessons I do play the entire song or most of it - but at times I dont as that would make the lesson so much longer and everyone seems to want the shorter lessons - short as possible - so I try and make the lessons short as I can but packed with all the essentials and if there is time play the song too - what r ur thoughts on that? And be sure to take a good look around the channel as we have tons of killer content and lessons taught in the same format - lots of fun stuff. Enjoy and stay tuned - lots more lessons coming soon. Keep up all that hard work on that guitar and please subscribe to the channel. Take care, and rock on! -David Taub, Next Level Guitar Inc. & EGI

I remember when I first try to learn this song- mainly the strum- I got stationed in Okinawa back in the 70”s. I bet I spent 3 weeks off and on trying to get that strum pattern.

Thank you for the great lesson, the best I've seen for this classic number. Apart from that I can only echo what some other commentator wrote - the lesson would have been perfect had you played through the whole song one time. A big ask perhaps but for me, at any rate, it's one of those songs that's easy to get a bit lost in as it changes from one section to another and back. Having said that thank you again for the fantastic job. And that Taylor of yours sounds superb. Cheers

You really break these down like no one else...I love how you don't gloss over the subtle differences in the strumming patterns, like others sometimes do. You know we can handle it :-) Great job, as always! Only think I am trying to find is where he does that little lick that leads into one of the G-F-C-F's....I forget where it occurs, but there's a little walk-up that I can't figure out.

My struggle continues to be changing to the F chord and staying in time. I pretty much have the strumming part down but the chord change is my nemesis. I had a 66 Chevy. Oh, the memories!

Why do alot of lessons have the fret hand doing the muting .
@EpicGuitarInstruction
@EpicGuitarInstruction 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark - which hand you mute with depends on a few things. If you are playing a chucking rhythm with open chords you will have to mute with the pick hand. But if you are playing a chucking rhythm or funky rhythm with barre chords then you will be muting with your fret hand. Or if you are playing lead guitar and want to mute out all the string noise then you will be muting with both hands. Let me know which you are confused about or any other questions and I can direct you to some of my lessons to help. And thank u so much for checking out this lesson - really appreciated!
