I am learning manual in a 1999 honda civic coupe and what scares me is burning the clutch. Whenever I try to press the gas pedal gently it ends up being loud as if I floored it and I heard if you give it too much gas in first while trying to drive off it can burn the clutch and the idea of doing that scares me 😞

I drive my car in my lawn reverse and forward in gear1 releasing the clutch slowly with out touching the accelerator.Hand brake was unknowingly on and after some time car got heated up.Sir may I know the reason plzzz
