It's actually very good that you didn't translate the words and focused on phonetics. Meaning plus visuals plus sound would have been too much. Here we only learn to associate a certain sound with a certain group of letters and that's a very good approach 🌟🤗

I am intermediate level in Norwegian Bokmål / German / Swedish and advanced level in Dutch and upper beginner level in Old Norse / Icelandic, and I understand most of the Danish words because most of the words are similar to the words in the other languages I know, and I am beginner level in Danish and Faroese and Gothic, but I can understand a lot of the words and sentences, including lines in lyrics - it’s interesting that there is this word dreng in Danish that comes from the Old Norse word drengr!

I don't know really anything about Danish, but I'm taking a class on pronunciation so I'm looking around at videos of people teaching pronunciation. I really liked this video. You have a lot of examples, you're very clear on everything. I really liked this video. Thanks for putting it out there! Now I feel like I could MAYBE read some Danish words. Haha

Nice video. I wonder when Spoken Danish got alienated from Written Danish. I was doing a research on the similarities between English and Danish. I noticed that both languages' spoken forms are very different from its written form. With English, the loaning of Latin words into English during Early Modern English period completely changed English.

6:52 ...og1 7:06 ...og2 These two really confused me, so i had to put these 2 time stamps..and you can notice the difference after several tries & close listen. Og2 you need to close your lips further when you finish the word, unlike og1 where your lips aren't that stressed on the end.

So it seems the rule with "a" is that if it is a+consonant+e, the a makes a long vowel sound, and the e makes it's short sound. Is that right?
