Here's the first video in a series on Dutch word order. This is a topic I get a lot of questions on, and for good reason. It's not an easy topic. Since there is a lot to say about Dutch word order, I have limited myself to the basics for this video. Future videos will cover more advanced topics, so stay tuned or subscribe to the channel. You made something seemingly complicated very simple to understand. Also, your explanation of what a subject and verb are is such an easy explanation for those who don’t understand grammar in general. This is helpful to those people who were never taught basic grammar, so have no idea what is meant by a verb etc. Stating that a verb is an action word is such a great way to clarify it. You do not seem to have made any recent videos. That is a pity as you are a born teacher, but, it’s great that these videos are still on the web helping many throughout the years, become fluent in Dutch. Goed leuk with whatever your endeavours are now.

I really enjoyed this video even though I am at the very beginning of learning Dutch. When I say very beginning I mean that I still have to learn the Dutch Alphabet and how to pronounce each letter properly in Dutch. So you can see how much of a beginner I really am. But this video is wonderful. It is so clear and concise as to the structure of a sentence in Dutch. I've been studying Dutch for the past year using Duolingo but miss something like your demonstration, using subtitles, of which parts of the sentence are which! I understand the language if I know the topic as my father and mother spoke it often. Unfortunately they did not encourage us to speak Dutch. So, I find it hard to construct the sentence. I'm now in my 70's and enjoy the learning process. You have made it much easier with your videos. Thanks for leaving them up. 😃
