Oh wow! This is one of my biggest concerns and mistakes when I’m talking in English because I’m not sure if I’m pronouncing it right. Sometimes it sounds like the first example, but sometimes it’s like in the second example, so it’s tricky for me to understand what’s the difference in unknown words. Lot of those sounds are schwa. Aren’t they? I might be wrong. Why don’t you describe them as a schwa sound?
