Hi teacher, Today's podcast (Buying Local) has been amazing. As an English student and with a low level of English, I will watch again but the content makes me think about how the miscalled "progress" can affect our lives. It supposed that human beings progress to reach a better state, and this is notorious that is not true and in the subject that you have treated can be easily checked. I am keen on buying local market, but I strongly believe that it is a matter of common sense if we desire a better environment and a sustainable future, only one thing more, I can remember when we used to buy the milk every day and we needed to boil it, it tasted much better than now. Greetings.

Always interesting topics.... I try to buy local as much as it's possible, we have a lot of markets in France, where we can find everything, bread, poultry, vegetables, cheese, fish etc....even flowers... We meet people, and it's outside, we can choose our food, talk, smile under our masks , it's often a lovely "rendez-vous ". Thank you Jack, i follow your courses with a big pleasure.

In my country, It also changed a lot. Since it had convenient store such as 7-eleven , Ocean, Central and many more. It made many grocery stores need to close or earn lesser money. It is true that about convenient make it change. And last 2 years the online shopping even more spreading over coronavirus outbreak. The small business even more worse. I think it is good to buy local like you said. Helping our own local business is a great thing we should do. Your podcast is really educational. Thank you for producing such a good content . Ps.I am from Thailand.🇹🇭

In my country people are really enjoying to buy something from local Supermarket Because they can get everything in this place.though they have discount and lots of facilities for selling their Products in online But people are used to buy this from local supermarket in offline.some products really high in online like cake, drinks and also dairy items.and also some supermarket are not also perfect in their service thats why customers have some confusion about supermarket items so they try to buy offline.Nowadays supermarket also increasing their service and products and also they give importance on online selling.Lastly I would like to say that Buying local thigs its really enjoying and also in online its pretty good service we get from local supermarket.

Ro answer your question.. Here in Saudi Arabia we still have this vans with fish for sale. As we are not allowed to go out anytime we want and the city is too far taxi could be very expensive than fish itself.
