I read this book as teenager and I loved every inch of it. The audio version is a blast. I have not been able to put down my phone all day. John Grisham is a master story crafter

Thank you very much. It was very interesting and very useful. I listened your audio book twice, than I read the original book, and then I watched The Firm movie.

Hey, I hope you don't mind but I corrected some things in your sentence so you can sound more casual 👍 "Thanks so much. It was very interesting and useful. I listened to your audiobook twice, then I read the original book, and then watched the movie." From one language learner to another: I hope this helps 🤝

Interesting that British English terms are used for flashlight, elevator, and parking lot. Torch, lift, car park respectively.

Thank you for this service. The soundtrack minus the action is misleading and confusing. I am an English teacher and I do this a lot with non-English films, particularly French. However, be aware that idioms, slang and profanity are often culture specific and do not translate well. The best cc's are embedded in the video, not "generated" which are up to 30% inaccurate and misleading, but can be hilariously funny.

Glad this is helpful for people learning english but man is this story bad!! So predictable and the gender roles are so archaic!
@cindy5213
@cindy5213 11 ай бұрын
The book was written and published in the late 80s early 90s. So there's that. As for archaic, it's the same feeling reading Shakespeare and the King James bible sayeth I.

@@cindy5213 It's not Grisham's writing anyway.. it's a 'Peter and Jane' adaptation of the book to help people learn English.

@@cindy5213 Ya you're right. Not worthless since it's still a great listen because it's a great story. Just disappointing since it is so good. Beggars can't be choosers though.

Considering it has a professional narrator and voice actors I think they probably paid for the rights to adapt the novel. What we're dealing with here is breach of copyright by the poster of this audio recording.
